I know if has been almost 55 years ago, but what happened to the Sound Project, Eddie? Did that group become Eddie and the Showmen?? Just wondering.

Hi. My father Ralph Correa worked with Mr. Gross at the plant in Gitmo during the time this album was made. Dad had us, my Mom, 2 brothers, and sister with him for a couple of years, and I remember Mr. Gross coming over to our trailer for dinner. I still have an autographed copy of the album he was nice enough to sign for my family. I'm retired Navy, so have been to Gitmo many times since then. This album always brings back memories of the Gitmo that used to be. Please give your Father our warmest regards. Dad and Mom have passed, but the rest of us are still here. Thanks for the memories.

Hey Eddie, just wanted to send an additional message. Thanks for the nice video, really great you had family involved in the interview. Actually Eddie, you and I worked a number of band jobs together in late 1968 through mid 1970, I played the drums with both the Pinkertones and my group The Sound Project. I was with you on It's Not Who You Are, But What You Can Do, and It's Not The Way You Walk. When listening to the playback of those at Lee Caroll's place, it inspired me to start a group of my own with brass! As you said, there was a lot of brass in those days! You were kind enough to join up with the Sound Project and along with our other singer from New York, George, were great singers and made a big difference. Remember winning the 1970 San Diego custom car show battle of the bands? Those were fun days. In summer of 1970, unfortunately we all went through a time of artistic differences of opinion of the direction of the band, so I departed and went on to join a group The Callifornians. We were invited to partake in The CBS Newcomers at Television City in Hollywood. I think it was the following year you made your L.p. in Jamaica!!! There is about a 1 and one half year period I lost track of the Sound Project and what became of the group. Maybe you could be kind enough to fill in a few gaps! I would appreciate it a lot. Cannot believe it has been over 50 years!!! Wow! Hope you do a follow up video Eddie...it would be interesting! Thanks.
