Also, not sure why commentators were so reluctant to realise how dominant Viddal was the whole fight? It's like they didn't wanna acknowledge how good he is because it wasn't the most risky route to victory? Boxing, especially at this level, is about racking up safe wins and making the move into those World Title conversations.

Because if you weren’t already a Vidal fan this performance didn’t exactly show him in a great light and it’s probably the biggest stage he’s fought on so far so it’s like an opportunity missed. It was pretty obvious Vidal was levels above lawal but he never went through the gears and turned the screw to look to get the finish. It ended up like a prolonged televised sparring session. Which is understandable if he was injured.
@JonathanVegaa2 ай бұрын
I think Viddal has a clear path to world level to fighting Chamberlian next the Chev Clarke if he gets past those two he could fight Chris Billam Smith who I think will loose to Riakpore then fight Riakpore for the title sometime next year he could be 15-0 world champion at 27 gives him ample time to unify Vs Zurdo Opetai and Mikaeljan

Great win. Biggest congratulations. As someone who has cracked ribs six or eleventeen times, I thought it was hilarious when it came time to raise your arm and you broke from the ref and raised it yourself. I almost laughed out loud... I felt that so much 🤣🤣 Then during the interview you had your arms close to your body; I felt that too. Nice performance despite the injury. Cracked ribs are annoying as hell - I'm not above carrying a pillow around for a few weeks.

People need to realise how hard it is to continue fighting with a bruised rib let alone a fractured one. The fact that he continued to outbox him for 10 rounds with the injury shows the levels. Without the worry of his injury there was many opportunities where he’d have got a tko
