Your covering the Mayflower voyage of 1650’s from England. When I was a child we learned a different history of Americas origin. It did involve the Mayflower ship and Two additional ships totaling three. I think another ship might have been named Pena. It began at the Spanish Inquisition of 1492, when all the Jews were expelled from Spain. The Queen was of the Catholic Church and the reformation had not yet began. They hired a man by the name of Christopher Columbus to take them to a new land that he talked about finding a few years earlier. These were the Pilgrims that arrived at Plymouth Rock in 1492, when Columbus sailed the ocean blue. There was a mid 1600’s trip from England, and yes it did involve the Mayflower. I was taught in school that the reason for the Pilgrims was the issue of they wanted to worship God, as from their understanding of the scriptures (religious freedom) and not from what the mother church, system taught.

Columbus never sailed on the Mayflower. Columbus sailed the Pinta, Santa Marina, and the Nina
@marctompkins30012 жыл бұрын
@@grantcox3755 I went back and checked my resource page. Your right, the Mayflower wasn’t listed. I mistakenly confused two different resources into one story. My bad….. The Mayflower was second of the two groups. The 1650 trip from Europe to the United States. This group was the American founders of 1776. The first was the puritans, during the Spanish, inquisition of 1492. These were known as the were Sabbath keepers, running from the papal power known as the military might of the Vatican, the Jesuit’s. This is the period known by the historians as the “Dark Ages” because of all the deaths that occurred between the protesters and the Catholic horchata system. The Historical record does claim that both groups left Europe, and both groups sailed the Plymouth Rock. After my ruptured brain aneurysm and stroke of 2013, sometimes I do get things turned around. It wasn’t intentional, like I said in the beginning; My bad.

I think it was not very wise to go on a ship like that at the worst possible time to cross the ocean. The people who made it didn't know how to survive in the new environment at all and is was with the help of the original inhabitants (from whom there was a lot more to learn, but were almost wiped out from the face of the earth) that they did survive. No wonder it is a big mess nowadays in the US. And they still don't know how to live on that beautiful country.....
