Sorry about your camshaft problems Dutch. We put performance cams in for 50/60 years and hardly ever a problem. I am glad to hear about the Schumacher mounts. I am building a '74 Duster slant six to 360 four speed. I do not want any problems. I may be doing some fab work. Thanks for sharing. Have a good week. 👍 🇺🇸👍

I run Schumacher conversion mounts on my '75 C body Monaco to go from 360 to 440. They lined up perfectly on that car, trans in exactly the same place, engine at the right height, proper driveline angle. Same deal - trim the left side mount, drill a hole through both sides for a through bolt. I did weld a nut on the back tab for the through bolt because there was no way to get a wrench back there with the oil pump installed and that made it simple.

Lucky u don’t got a 440 in it keep the la motor no hemi you got 80 thousand miles of wire not the same as the old school stuff im using motor plates seems like a easier fit but I’ve never heard any body complain about shumachers kit how ever you spell it

Similar problems with a Hughes Hydraulic roller cam that 1 of the lobes was ground through the heat treat and cost me a 10,000 dollar motor

I use howards cams for flat tappet. STAY AWAY from comp cams, or any white box lifter. hell, id stay away from the extreme energy and voodoo cams, or any cam with a super fast ramp. itll wipe quick.

hughes has there cams cut by howards. all my hughes cams came with howards boxs and cam cards

I think that schumacer should get a mule car and redesign the mounts maybe they could make a deal with you and use your car and you get the first correct set of motor mounts free...the cam deal really sucks and just goes to show that through hook or crook they want our fuel cars off the road...cause it not just vintage cars that have these failures.

Gen3 Hemi will bolt right up to the 727 and 904. MSD has a box to control the coil packs (6AL I believe) while you run a carb if you don’t want to go the efi route

Not a lot of good news really man huh... When I got my Barracuda it had a lifter out like that and a pushrod that was a pretzel, Saw yours and thought you got outta that easy...then you didnt :( How is it so hard to get flat tappet stuff to work properly..its a KNOWN mistake these days... keep us posted Buddy
