Is there a general rule or suggestion about the size of the e/ moving average and the time frame it's more suited towards?

There are tons of different MA combos and timeframes you can use. Too many to list. Used consistently, during their good and bad phases, they will generally serve you well because we limit our losses during bad periods and we up cap our profits during the big moves. But the key here is consistency and sticking to one setup. So many traders start a system and at the first sign of trouble they change it. Rarely being in it when the big moves come. Its like mining for gold and giving up just before you reach the gold and then starting a new mine. Then you give up on that one just before you hit gold and start another new mine. The cycle continues. Those who keep going and hit gold then realise what its all about and the whole process becomes easier for them. Because they then realise its a mindset thing, not a system issue.
