Started my bounce house business 2 month ago with 4 brand new bounce houses and 1 inflatable dart board and they’re all 5 rented every Saturday. I get asked atleast 10 times a week for water slides & tables/chairs. So if you’re thinking of starting in this business definitely get one or two water slides along with atleast one or two bounce houses. I’m missing out on that money now but winter I’ll buy the those things I’m getting requested for.

Just start out and work hard. Fine tune and grow as a few years go by. We do a lot of commercial/school/church events. Those are the high pay gigs where they rent a whole truck load to one place. Start out with a lower price and grow. Charge for delivery and distance.

In Austria, it's a little different. Well over 90% of people pick up the bouncy castles from us and bring them back again. If they aren't cleaned or dismantled properly, they have to pay an additional €75. There's hardly any need for dismantling and reassembly.

That was the most informative 36 minutes I've ever seen about this topic. I'm in MA and really want to start a party rental business around inflatables. If I do start it, I want to have enough capital to buy 4 or 5 units plus the proper equipment to move and set them up. Hopefully, this video helped me avoid a lot of growing pains by doing it correctly from the start. Looking back, would you have started with new inflatables or would you still buy used to start?

@@ambermyers7463 I’ve been told different. They are a legal binding contract, regardless if the signee had legal representation present, but it doesn’t prevent someone from filing a claim. I do indoor birthdays so I have the website with the traffic and already market to a email list with my other childrens business (gymnastics school) so thinking about this as a way to sell more to my current loyal customers. Plus often enough only one kid in the family is doing gymnastics and several families have multiple kids. We also have a 30’x60’ shop and land for additional storage like shipping containers or to park trucks and trailers. Would this be something ideal? I know the business side with running website, hiring younger staff because we already do now and live bookings, etc. I have a great business but our city just won’t let us grow due to zoning issues, so trying to find a way to grow income strictly.

Do I need an LLC in order to insure the rental? I wanted to purchase one for my son’s birthday so he can learn to start a small business here in this college town. We have been looking online here in Texas there are sales right now 3 for 2600 come with generators sacks etc…. After hearing about insurance though I may just purchase the three but use only one and insure that one and then save up to pay the premiums for the next year for all 3? By that time get the money for a better dolly (super mover dolly) 😢😢 but then I remember you saying to buy at least five at a time for it to be worth it

One bounce house lifting off could kill your business.. I don't think any amount of stakes can stop it if the wind gets under it-- it turns into a huge sail. yeah, not easy to get into at all in the uk, we have one castle that weighs around 800 lbs, it takes three of us to move it, we dont have any motorized dollys, its all muscle, and rolling it around, and flipping it end over end to get it through gates and down alleyways, we have taken that castle in through someones front door, through the house and out the back because they lived in a terraced house, and the entire street was joined onto each other we have been to events when its been pouring with rain, you can easily add another 200 lbs when it gets wet, so that castle is now 1000 lbs, and we still only have three guys to flip it end over end and roll it up even when we turn the blower off, and open all the vents, it still takes over an hour to get all the air out of it, to roll it up, to move it its absolutely no fun sometimes if your not tough, i definitely would not recommend bouncy castles/bounce houses, if you havent got pure determination, it is NOT the business for you we tore an anchor point off it the other week just taking it out the trailer, the anchor point snagged, the castle rolled, it tore straight off, and left an 18 inch hole in the castle, that was at the start of the event, we had to patch it on the spot with duct tape, and keep re applying tape through the day, as we didnt have a patch kit theres always kids at events that climb the walls, were constantly having to shout them down, theres kids that stay at the top of the slide and wont come down, and were constantly having to run up and chase them down, theres kids that push each other over, push each other off the castle, clean over the crash mats onto the floor, theres kids that bang heads and get nose bleeds and black eyes, a bad day is absolutely no fun at all usually your already set up by the time customers arrive, and all the customers have gone by the time your packing away, so they question your prices because in there eyes, your just standing there taking money, letting the generator do all the work, they dont see the effort you put in, and dont understand why your tired before the event starts. and they would rather pay more for a beer than they would pay for there kid to have fun jumping around no matter how many spare crash mats you put down, every single kid puts there shoes right at the bottom of the slide, other kids come down the slide and crash into a pile of sneakers, your constantly moving kids sneakers all day long every bounce house guy has been to "THAT" garden, or event, where theres an inch of dirt, with rock directly under it, and your frantically stabbing your pegs in and out the floor like a crazy person, just to find a spot where the pegs will hammer in At events, another company always turns up with a similar bounce house to you, even though the event organizers said there wouldnt be another bounce house company there, they are near the entrance to the event where customers have still got money, your right at the back where they have spent everything, you pay around 100 bucks to be there with fuel costs and pitch fees, and your lucky to take 3 bucks all day, and usually its hot, you forgot drinks, and you spend another 20 or 30 bucks on drinks theres the events where the organisers tell you its very popular usually, but this year, someone else is holding another event a mile away, and everyones gone there instead, and the entire place is a ghost town did i mention rain? oh yeah, its boiling hot and sunny, you set up, the second you get that last peg in the ground, the sky turns black and it throws it down with rain, your at an event where they wont let you park the truck on site, so you sprint 1000 yards to the truck to take shelter, light a cigarette, look up, its sunny again, customers are stood at your bounce house, so you sprint back the 1000 yards, but by the time you get there, they have walked away yeah, bounce houses are great fun HA HA HA!!! Sometimes, there are positives, theres always that one event that makes up for a lot, that one event, you expect it to be garbage because nobodys ever heard of it, and your tucked away in a corner where nobody can see you, but it turns into a kinda kid-trap, and you take like 1000 bucks an hour, that makes your year ha ha its quite nice when its busy, but not too busy, and you get to talk to the kids and there parents, you do meet some nice people on your travels

Yes that’s for the business overall. They are a legend crew that I think I’ll tell stories about forever just being honest. A guy can do 12+ it’s the TIME that is tough. From 7am you can only make so many parties b/c ppl want the unit by 11am or noon. One person is fine but slower, do the math on my last fact. We have 800lb slides that requires 2.

My brother wants to get into the business and has done his "research" and "knows everything".... Hell, probably even watched this video. He's fed up at work and wants to be free from bosses. That being said, due to the weather here in Oklahoma, our season would be May to September (maybe October if you're lucky). What do Bounce businesses due during the off-season to supplement income. I've seen Christmas light installations, event table/chair rentals, and other entertainment items like popcorn machines, etc. But I know even thoughts aren't bringing in the bacon. Growing up, our dad was an independent snack foods distributor for 20+ years and worked extremely hard every day as a one-man band. I want to help my brother avoid getting stuck in a non-scalable, 5-month-season business all because "it's an easy business", "I hate my boss", and "Wouldn't it be fun to be the bounce house guy".

i just bought three units ,one princess bounce house, one combo and a water slide. im hoping to do this by myself, like as a family with my two kids. trying to show them some work ethic. id like to buy maybe 2/3 more units. im really not looking to become big, get a payday or to hire employees. i just want something to do that makes a few bucks to pay the bills. being a single father is tough. im in florida and hoping i can rent these out year round. if i rented out a couple each weekend id be happy. do you see small guys like me do this and be successful. and happy just staying small?

so, my lawyer has written up a waiver that leaves the renter liable for all injuries and damages on their property and they are using the slide at their own risk. This works because home owners need insurance, and companies with facilities have to purchase insurance. So you only need insurance for your employees while they're on the clock. And of course the auto insurance.
@nick_o_glass
@nick_o_glass 11 ай бұрын
you couldn't be more wrong. when a kid falls and gets paralyzed I PROMISE you are getting sued, so is the home owner and so is the manufacturer. Your cute little waiver won't hold up in court vs an aggressive lawyer. NEVER RENT WITHOUT INSURANCE.

@@tallnskinygaming yes I did but you don’t beleive me anyways why do you keep dragging this on. DO NOT RENT WITHOUT INSURANCE is my absolute firm stance as it everyone else’s in the industry. Do this…go talk to a very large rental company that’s been sued multiple times. They end up paying $10k to $30k out of the lawsuit (insurance company obviously pays it) and they all have a way better waiver than you because they’ve had it for 20 years and added and tweaked and added and tweaked…I have a friend who has a 6 page waiver. SIX. Has been sued twice and their insurance paid out over $10k both times. Thank god the insurance company had good lawyers because trust me the suits start in the hundreds of thousands! Again, I’ve stated my opinion and done so clearly. I promise I have more insight into this than your lawyer but it’s your business and your life. I can’t care about your business more than you do. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Not at all BUT it’s not as easy as you think!! SEO and webpages and google business profile and email addresses and routing and deposits…if you’re well taken care of, what I’d suggest is telling the owner that you’re thinking about it and see what they say. If you’re totally miserable and can’t take another day working under someone else then go tomorrow. Entrepreneurship is hard af. I only suggest it if you feel it in your bones!

Nope financed nothing. The diff is I started in 2019 when insurance was under $2000 a year to start now it’s $5000 a year wether you have 1 unit or 50, so you can’t start with 1 cause you’re never making your money back. You can also buy a cheaper trailer and use a shit dolly etc
