It's a win-win for Diggs, he gets a big pay bump not paying state income tax, he gets with a young QB that has so much potential. Houston is going to give that division fits. Few things... One- Stroud isn't a normal rookie QB. He won that locker room over well before the season began including the veterans. That whole team knew he was something special. Two- Ryans has built in just one season a culture that the whole league has noticed. He and the GM are really working well together on building and developing this team. Three- Case Keenum... Case has played with Diggs in both Minn and Buff. I'm sure the Texans leadership has asked him about how Diggs is in the locker room. Four- Diggs and Josh were BESTIES for two seasons with no issues. Diggs will come in initially on his best behavior. Five- The deal.... The Texas will take a cap hit for the first year but not really after that. If Diggs does go "Super Diva" then cut him and move on. I don't think Ryans or Stroud will get intimidated by Diggs' antics. I think this was one of those old Patriot moves of bringing a noted Free Agent and either use or cut him based on if they embrace what they do. GM Nick is from New England. I think at least for the first year, Diggs will perform well because he would want to show how much he can do without Josh while hoping that Josh struggles without a real WR.

Not taking anything away from Diggs because he is good but this diva shit needs to stop and I know that Ryan won’t put up with it. Diggs is just lucky that he went to a team that has an extremely talented QB on the rise and is just as good as Allen and Jackson and Mahomes. He’s not at there level yet but he’s pretty damn good.

I'm sure Diggs is HOPING he does now that he is gone. I was rooting for the Bills during the playoffs last year because I really freakin hate KC. However, I do think the Bills have left Allen with very limited options to throw too. The Houston GM has done great job over this off season bringing players for this window while Stroud' is on his rookie contract. The older player, higher contracts expires before Stroud's rookie contract ends.

I see a lot of similarity with CJ Stroud's rookie season to Baker Mayfield. Baker threw more TD's but CJ had way less int's but they are pretty close on most other metrics. Remember all the hype around the Browns when OBJ came in but the hype never quite translated into chemistry on the field. You dont get dumped by two different teams even with pro bowl stats unless you are the problem and not the solution. Nick Caserio has worked it well to restructure Diggs to a one year deal and make him a free agent after that. He has in essence incentivised Diggs to play for his next contract and given himself an escape hatch if he starts any bs behind the scenes.

"NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED!" This is the "thanks" the Bills and Brandon Beane get for giving Diggs a "fresh new start" to his career. This is the thanks McDermott gets for being a caring "player's coach." And this is the thanks Josh Allen gets for coddling Diggs' ego, putting up with his NEVER-ENDING crap, suffering in silence while Diggs constantly trashed him (directly via histrionics, microaggressions, and cryptic social media nonsense ... as well as gutlessly indirectly via his brother). In fact, through it all, Josh Allen not only NEVER responded in kind or trashed Diggs back, but he actually KEPT PUBLICLY PRAISING Diggs. I SO WISH the Bills could somehow win the Super Bowl this season -- and defeat the Texans in the playoffs en route. Then watch Diggs explode. Josh Allen never claimed to be a "perfect" QB, and is always his own harshest critic (a rarity these days). Diggs, on the other hand, does nothing but point fingers at everyone else and their supposed "failures" ... yet NEVER sees (let alone "owns") his own. That speaks volumes -- all anyone needs to know.

Diggs added a lot of value to that offense. He drew double coverage and helped others get open. Defensive coordinators had to plan around him. Allen is going to suffer from this!

@scottcordaro-fn1uw Allen messed up by not letting that mf know that he was the qb and was not going to listen to his crap. It was clear that Diggs had no respect for him and felt like he could come at him disrespectfully on the sidelines. Allen is probably VERY HAPPY he is gone. Maybe he will be more respectful in Houston because it's a black coach and qb but I wouldn't chance it with a guy like that.

@@chetjablonski1993 I think it’s possible Miami is gonna Win atleast 10-12 games & if Aaron Rodgers looks like how he did two years ago I think the jets could win around 10 games. The bills losing diggs got rid of a guy that other coaches needed to gameplan against. Those other guys on the bills besides Josh Allen are replaceable. And not even mentioning Josh Allen is a high turnover guy him losing his best weapon is gonna make him force things even more so we will see how he looks.

Who cares. Then they'll have a serious problem with Tank Dell and Nicole Collins. You obviously haven't watched the Texans lately year. They are absolutely loaded on offense and didn't need to make this move. It's low risk really high reward and he's on a 1 year deal bow trying to get his last big contract.

That's why the texan voided the remaining 3 years of his contract. So basically it's a miss or hit for stefon. If he hits and behave himself, he probably get a contract extension if not it's bye bye stefon. Plus cj the type of qb you spreads the ball.

When you sign top free agents, you have to expect swagger and drama that comes with the territory. If you don't have the right leadership from your coach and quarterback, then you can expect to fail. The top quarterbacks and wide receivers in this league are black, so when you have a white quarterback, there is miscommunication. Diggs dealt with two white QBs. CJ is not just black but he's special. He has total control of that locker room and he's only beginning his 2nd year in the NFL. Diggs will not only follow in CJ's footsteps, but he has no other choice, thanks to Nick. If Diggs wants a big contract in free agency, he needs to perform on the field in 2024 without the drama. This is a win-win as the Texans did Diggs a solid paying out his guaranteed bonus for 2025 in 2024. Diggs can be the decoy drawing out CB1 and allowing Nico 150+ yards and allowing Tank 100+ yards.

Just the fact Buffalo took a 32 million cap hit to unload Diggs tells you all you need to know. The fact that they got nothing this year and a 2nd (if Houston does well, it's like a high 50s pick) next year is further proof. OTOH, this could be a big year for Houston.
