I think Benitez should be included as a 5th king though I do believe as good as he was he was still a bit behind the other 4. Leonard stopped him, Hearns beat him easily. Benitez never fought Hagler but he did beat Duran, though I’d still place Duran above Benitez.

Why you put Duran over benitez? Benitez gave SRL a tougher fight than srl-hearns 1. Benitez beat Duran. He would have given hagler a tough fight due to benitez defensive skills speed and IQ. I agree benitez should have been the try king.

@@Dentsun4228 Duran was not quite the fighter he was when he fought Hearns and besides I seriously doubt if anyone could of withstood the barrage that Hearns unleashed on Duran that night. The final knockout punch that finished Duran was the best single punch knock out I’ve ever seen. Duran won 73 of his his first 74 fights before losing to Leonard. Ring magazine ranked him in the top 5 fighters of the last 80 years. I’d put Leonard, Hearns, Hagler above him as well as Ali and Sugar Ray Robinson, not Benitez.

Actually the fight was a draw. Haggler's mistake was that he wasn't able to cut off the ring and he ended up chasing Leonard around the ring. The crowd cheering more for Leonard definitely influenced the judges... Darealdeal

He was so great. I thought he would retire undefeated. Sad that he got beat by Terrible Terry Norris, at the end. At least he never got KO'd, not that I am aware of. I am sure Leonard would have easily beaten him a few years before that, of course.

Floyd has a much more technical arsenal in the area of speed and a miriat of different ways of producing one punch knock outs of which Leonard could not have s clue. Leonard's main defense was his continuous offense. Floyd is an intellectual maestro in both areas. Leonard's style dictated his receiving tons of head punches that rocked him to his core whenever he fought those top tier Guys. In 50 bouts the world appeard astonished anytime an opponent managed to land one solid punch on Floyd. Papa Floyd Sr. and Uncle Roger were the Einsteins of the Sweet Science. I'll shut up now.
