I agree some people are over exaggerating with how they dip into the shadow... still surprised at this palette tho. I think the brand should have atleast came out with a statement BEFORE it came out saying it's a different formula than the others and they are soft packed pigments and really pigmented so they wouldn't have had so much negative response.

Maggie Mortis if you think the majority of consumers actually read ingredients then you are wrong. Also, no where in the ingredients of this palette imply that it would be pure pressed pigments, that is a matter of formulation technique that is unique and actually secret to every brand.

I'm an average makeup enthusiast and so long as I use a light hand it is fine. The majority of the review videos drive me nuts. IMO it makes a lot of them look stupid, the way they dip into the product. Really? They're makeup gurus on KZbin and can't figure after the first dip in not to continue using it in the same manner? The reason they get so much fallout is they are packing a ton of product onto the brush. If you work in light, thin layers and just lightly touch the palette, fallout would not be all that bad. The palette is useable so long as you use common sense.

That's what I haven't seen anyone address. I don't care about fallout and yes of course certain colors will turn muddy if you mix them. But explain what the deal is with the shadows literally changing color on the lid? Even when they're alone and only one color is applied I've seen so so many people where it would be super dark in one or two little patches. It looks like the formula is sucking up any moisture on the skin and discoloring it.

I think we have to remember that the palette is going to the general public. It isn't made for MUAs and people will use the brush the palette comes with. The expectation is that it's going to be like the Modern renaissance palette which is easy to use and blend.

Please go watch Stephanie Nicole's video on this palette. I'm so glad Wayne is being honest and not trying to trash this palette like every other YT. So much misinformation out there it's ridiculous! Talc does not cost less than Mica. Talc is just as expensive as Mica. Mica is a mineral that has more shimmer in it. Talc is matte. So when ABH wanted to create "ultra matte" shades, ofc they have the use Talc. The palette was made in the US, where no matter what concentration it is in, talc must be listed as the first ingredient so consumers know it is in the ingredient list. That does not equate to it being the most concentrated ingredient. MR has more filler and binding agents in it, which means less pigment. It will blend out to nothing. Subculture has less fillers, more pigment. Pigment = $$$$$$. ABH is offering this palette, with less fillers and more pigment for the same price as MR. So no, you are not getting ripped off. It's a technique issue. You can't swirl your brush around these super soft shadows and expect it to blend well and not have fallout. You need to barely just touch your brush into the pan, apply a tiny bit to your eye, pick up a little more, blend. I have this palette, I have had NO issues with it, it blends beautifully and looks gorgeous EDIT: WOW! Thank you for all the likes and comments everyone, that makes me feel wonderful that we can all have respectful, peaceful debates about the palette. We are all makeup lovers after all! 🙏✌️❤️

The problem I have with my palette isn't the fallout, it's the way the shadows turn to mud or disappear when I try to blend. I have used other pressed pigments and never had that problem.
@tatyanakucharick26007 жыл бұрын
courtney mitchell The colours are opposite each other on the color wheel, so when you use an orange shade as your transition and a purple as your crease, and don't use care to keep them separate, then they will combine to a grey color. That's how color theory works. I suggest carefully placing each shade on top of the others without blending them both into oblivion. I have this palette, I have had no issues with the colours getting muddled

courtney mitchell that's because you're using the colors wrong. When you use a color that is opposite of it on the color wheel, it'll turn muddy.
@MisCoco857 жыл бұрын
Tatyana Kucharick I understand that. But I'm not trying to blend two colors, I'm talking about one color. The yellow, I try to use in my crease and it literally oxidizing on my skin and turns to this unappealing brownish yellow color. Same w Fudge, it turns gray. I know how to blend and I am quite good at doing my makeup. So I know it had nothing to do w a color wheel or anything, it's just not a good formula. I'm not hating, I am not returning it, I'm just saying that the issue is more w the performance of the eyeshadow. Plus, I think Makeup should be easily achievable by everyone, to a beginner makeup user to a professional. When u start getting into having to explain and give directions on how to use an eyeshadow just becomes a little much in my opinion.
@StephBSanity7 жыл бұрын
Norvina said the yellow isn't intended to be yellow, it's a mustard shade. So it's definitely going to show up more on the brown side. I totally respect what you're saying! But it's a really bold palette, so I knew when I bought it that it'd take extra work to get really good looks out of it. I also noticed that clearing a space on the lid with concealer is an easy way to clean up the overall look, as opposed to layering. For me, the neat thing about the palette is that it inspires me to play more with colors, because otherwise I go for the same shades and same ole smokey eye. Even if this palette was SUPER easy to work with, I wouldn't reach for it for just an average everyday look. I'd save it for more adventurous days. Anyway, please don't take offense! Your comment just stood out to me and I've been obsessed with hearing both sides of the argument so I just wanted to contribute some thoughts.

*Then this is a problem of false advertising.* Norvina said in the promo for this palette that these eyeshadows were both "blendable and creamy" if ABH is going to tell their customers the palette is one thing, and then sell them a completely different product, I don't blame them for being pissed. She should have sold the product she advertised.
@RenRen24537 жыл бұрын
The Domestic Desi that is simply not true. False advertising doesn't simply apply to quality, but also to the accuracy of description of product. Advertising pure pressed pigments as typical eyeshadow palette IS false advertising, especially when the majority of their customers who are non professional actually EXPECT a traditionally pressed eyeshadow palette.

Artbug Have you played with it? Its extremely blendable and creamy. Its a phenomenal palette if you don't dip your brush in more than once. Hey Wayne, the biggest problem with her pallet was the lines that occurred when layering other colors. It's more with the browns. I'm a big ABH fan.

YES! Thank you! Another thing- maybe because i'm a water color artist- These are mostly complimentary colors! Taking nearly raw pigments and mixing red and green (mannymua) Or someone else who was reviewing- mixing yellow/orange/purple- Will create mud!!! Brown or gray!!! It's drving me mad! Just because it's eyeshaddow- it dosen't matter! whatever media- whether it be watercolor- colored pencils- makeup- the same rules apply! It's still just pigment and filler! This palete was intended to be used with the MR palete- not really as a stand alone. LEARN color theory outside of blue + yellow = green ladies! Don't beleive me?? Mix purple and yellow on your arm- blend. Tell me what color you get. Any brand. Do it. Thumbs up this. I'm tired of all these dumb reviews about muddy colors.

To the general public(not artists), whatever colors are in a palette are meant to be used together. People think they are meant to be a set.

D Cat That doesn't explain why one single color applied alone is so discolored in certain spots. That's my question and it's yet to be answered. I think they made a mistake if they did go with a pure pressed pigment. Because Modern Renaissance was so popular and so easy for everyone to use (pros and novices), they really should have stuck with that formula. EDIT: or at least been clearer that this was a different formula/application, not marketed it and set the expectation of a 'sister' product to MR - that alone would have saved a lot of grief for themselves and consumers.
@venuss20007 жыл бұрын
kiwigirljacks ~finally! a comment I agree with. If many pros are having a hard time "working" with this palette, what does that mean for the regular make up enthusiast/lover who doesn't have an hour or more to do their make up in the morning?
@kiwigirljacks7 жыл бұрын
Mona W exactly. If the average person wants a pressed pigment that will mean a pretty heavy application with minimal blending.. which is absolutely fine if that's the look they want (as with Stephanie Nicole's review - heavy application looks awesome on her but wouldn't suit me and my crepey 46 year old lids lol), but many don't. I think ABH should have been clear before release that this was more of a pure pigment and it would have saved all this craziness ✌️

Sharlee Coulton That's not necessarily the problem though. I've seen a bunch of people go in with literally their first color and even with it being absolutely alone on their eye, the shadow changes color in certain spots almost like it's soaking up ANY moisture from the skin or primer and leaving it discolored in places. For instance, someone placing one single color in their crease over bare primed lid, but there's a dark spot or dark line where the pigment is discolored. That's my question which nobody had addressed yet. I've literally never seen a product do that ever.

@ABBADABBS7 жыл бұрын
Okay so even if it is a pure pigment eyeshadow palette then maybe the company should have told everyone before it came out. They should have said this is a different palette use different brushes and use a light hand also don't mix certain colors together because they will turn to the color mud. I don't think anyone should have to relearn how to put on eye shadow for one new palette that has come out. The palette is beautiful and after using it with a light hand, using the right brushes as well as not putting certain colors together it is a nice palette.
@DohMkay7 жыл бұрын
You open up the palette, stick your brush into it, and realize its very pigmented, that's it. You realize after just one use, then logic should tell people that they should use light hand. That's why Americans are so dumb, you have to warn and tell about everything to them "these eyeshadows are not for consumption and not for use in private parts, and use light hand, also do no forget if you mix certain colors you might get different colors". Smh.

ABBADABBS opposite colors will turn grayish when blended together, that's just color theory in art. it's not that they don't blend well, they blend so well, the opposite colors become gray. that said, i don't see any difference between this or modern renesaince palette, the second one is just as powdery to me and blends the same. and it's unfair to say they should have use a disclaimer, every palette I have is a little different, for example, none of my Urban decay naked palette metallic shades can be used with a brush, I always have to use fingers if I want a really shiny outcome, not even a wet brush helps, and they a ton of fallout, the balm ones have no fallout, but I have to pack them up, Inglot matte shades are stiff and require more blending while shimmery ones are perfect etc. I am sad people are having horrible experiences, but the palette itself is not bad, it's just up to preferences, I think. And if you don't like it, ABH will return you the money.

eudloq that's a technique issue. If you swirl your brush over and over in a super soft shadow, you're picking up enough pigment to do 10 eye looks. It blends beautifully, the colours are rich and gorgeous. It's absolutely user error.

exactly. it is common fucking sense. the outrage and victimhood is insane. they are soft, highly pigmented and should be treated as such like natasha shadows, viseart shadows, and so on. the trade off is the intense color payoff of unique colors....something that is hard to get in a blue or teal or mustard MATTE. it requiers a little extra work, yes, but the payoff is worth it. it isn't an everyday slap on in the morning and go type of palette

Shin Lee I think it kind of ties in to what he's saying..the more product you pick up (and the harder you press into the pan) the more difficult it might be to blend because it is so pigmented. A little bit goes a long way, and it takes the right brush/pressure to get the job done correctly. And i will say the next thing with 100% respect to beauty gurus, but there's quite a difference between a "guru" and a professional. a professional will be more likely to understand and utilize the difference between the types of pigments and the way they are pressed more properly than a self claimed makeup artist. Again, I'm not saying that gurus don't know anything because they are typically very talented individuals, but they might not be as aware of it as a professional. This is just my personal opinion and I could be wrong but I just thought I'd give my input :)
@moriishida7 жыл бұрын
Aria Bodden yeah sure. But there are sooooo many pigmented palettes like ABH modern renaissance, still, which is easy to blend. Anyway, different opinions existed.
@ladybugger767 жыл бұрын
Not quite. Blendability depends on what the shadow was made with. This shadow is now loaded with talc, as ABH changed the formula. Talc clings to the eyelid, and absorbs oil and moisture. As a professional myself, I can tell you that pigment has nothing to do with blendability. It only affects saturation. What the shadow is using as a binder DOES affect how well the shadow will blend.
@BurgundyandBlue11117 жыл бұрын
Not just regular fallout, but kickup to the point of hitting pan on day 5, SUPER bad patchiness (color is falling off people's eyelids), creating muddy looks (yuk), product appearing to oxidize (literally changing colors during application).....I feel these aren't just "normal" palette problems. There is something wrong with some of these palettes. Perhaps its just certain batches that were bad and people who love the palette have ones from the good batches and people who hate it have a palette from bad batches. People with knowledge, expertise (professional MUAs), and product lines of their own had problems with this palette. I hope ABH is paying attention. It's not worth my $42 to conduct such an experiment.

Ok, but some of them are MUA's, and some just really love makeup and have gotten good at it and want to share their makeup creations with everyone. By that right, the "gurus" are your average consumer, and this palette was geared towards the average consumer, so it shouldn't be this difficult for the general public to work with this palette. They never marketed it as a pure pigment palette, or a Pro-Palette (for professionals), they marketed it as the "sister" to MR, a consumer friendly palette. All they said was "it's different", they didn't say anything about applying the pigments a certain way, using a certain type of pressure when dipping into the colors or the best way the blend them. They only said anything about it after the fact.

myfashionkills I agree that most of us don't need these crazy palettes every time a new one comes out. I rarely love all the colors in them. I like to see them swatched and applied by gurus and pro artists alike. I can tell when they seem to be blending for days to get the smooth transition(less blendable product). I can also tell if the color is not paying off immediately(grabs onto the brush, but is invisible when applied). I love Wayne, but I wish he'd do more closeup tutorials instead these commentaries. Especially on models of various ethnicities, colors, face shapes, skin compositions. For instance, I follow Jackie Aina, though we are different colors and ages, we have similarly shaped eyes and skin composition. I'll never do the Full Coverage Glam on myself, that she does, but it shows me how the products behave.
@iheartchewie7 жыл бұрын
@myfashionkillz Um, I already said that the KZbin/ig makeup "gurus" were not professionals, and that they're just regular people who love makeup and like doing tutorials. Therefore they're also your average consumer. Not sure why you're coming at me for that? As for makeup brands NOT gearing their products towards the general public, that's just bullshit. Nobody NEEDS any of it really, but there are millions of people in the world who simply love makeup. And guess what? They're not all professional makeup artists! But they're who the majority of makeup brands sell to. Do I need or want to use every single color in a particular palette I purchase? Probably not, but that's not the point. If brands like ABH were only selling professional products to professional MUA's they would only be making pro-palettes, and you'd need to be a licensed cosmetologist to purchase it. I do agree that people shouldn't just blindly buy something without doing some research on it.

I have the palette too and I love it. The only color that releases more pigment is fudge but I finding using smaller dense brushes (just pat once) will give you plenty of color. Blending is tricky but if you layer a lighter color on top it’s easier. It just takes some time but it’s really not a bad palette at all.
@shelleypoo767 жыл бұрын
Had it been explained like this, I'm guessing a LOT of people would have been ecstatic to receive this palette because they would have understood the VALUE of the product. When it's sold as "the sister to modern renaissance", people expect to use it as they did modern renaissance, and using it the same way creates excess fallout which causes people to think the palette is shit. That is the fault of Anastasia for not properly educating it's customers on what to expect with this product, and how to use it.

@Moca-Mist7 жыл бұрын
Hey Wayne! So I generally agree with you about 99.99% of the time but this time, were at odds. The fall out to me, though problematic is the least of it. Blending these eyeshadow were an absolute horror. There isn't enough emollients in the products so these eyeshadows can blend properly. Anastasia never had an issue with pigment. They're mattes are awesome so who told them to fix something that wasn't broken? The masses that predominantly purchase these pallets aren't makeup artists doing runway shoots. It's everyday people who genuinely love makeup. And when a "makeup" product needs a user guide on how to use it, there's a problem. When was the last time, Natasha Denona or Charlotte Tilbury had to release a statement on how to use their shadows?...despite the fall out. No one has ever complained about their shadows blending. The fallout with Anastasia's palette is just insult to injury, the main issue is the product blending. Hope you have gained better understanding.
@memegbutterfly7 жыл бұрын
Let's see you do a look with it. Cause fall out didn't seem to be the only issue people were having with this one. I can only assume that the same people that got the first one thought they could use this one the same way because they were not told until later that you only need to lightly dab your brush in them via an IG story once the shit hit the fan. Just saying!
@rotemp58387 жыл бұрын
But as Samantha Ravndahl said in her review, why would ever go so heavy handed into a palette, let alone a new one you've never tried before? A general rule in makeup is go in with a little, you can always add in more. Every shadow behaves differently, even some in a same palette might have a completely different feel and application. Tap in your brush gently, go on the eye with a little bit. Needs more? Just add it. As an MUA that uses many brands of eyeshadow, I can tell you that with any shadow, going in with too much product will result in patchiness and in blending difficulties.
@caseyknows7 жыл бұрын
I'm more in shock about all of these beauty gurus going so heavy in and not thinking "oh maybe i should be more light handed, these are pigmented af" than I am about the Subculture palette lol. JUST GOING TO LEAVE THIS HERE FOR PEOPLE WHO WANNA READ IT! "Hi, I'm a cosmetic chemist. Going to put this here for everyone (inaccurately) repeating Stephanie Nicole's opinion on this palette, or for those who have a phd in eyeshadow from the university of youtube... I'm kinda just done with consumers lecturing each other on why this palette is working as intended. It's not. This was not marketed as a "pressed pigment" palette, and really, all eyeshadows can be called "pressed pigments" if a mfr wants. It's a marketing term, because guess what: all pressed eyeshadows are pressed pigments. But I'm getting ahead of myself. Stephanie Nicole is lovely, and she does work with pigments in nail polish, but some of you have twisted her opinion into an odd platform from which you, yourselves, are trying to speak with authority on this formula. As BN pointed out, Stephanie was sharing her opinion*, which she made pretty damn clear in her video. She also *did not say that there aren't problems with this palette or even that she necessarily thinks it's good. She told people not to buy it until they can test it out. She also has her biases and misconceptions, because she is a human. There's a lot of back-splanation going on amongst consumers, saying that ABH intended xyz as a reason for what a train wreck this palette is, but the reality is that no one knew anything about how different the formula is, or how gentle you have to be with the shadows, or how badly/differently they blend, or how they change color on the skin until AFTER the palette was released and people had problems. ABH did not release this as a "pressed pigment" palette with disclaimers about how to use it. There have been palettes released by other brands that are actually called "pressed pigment" palettes--the Urban Decay Electric palette is one--and they do not behave like this. Seriously, I challenge anyone to find a large brand palette people like that was made this way on purpose that does not have some kind of disclaimer. Idk if any exist, period--disclaimer or not--because products as bad as Subculture rarely get released (and the fact that some people like it does not mean it's not a fucking disaster--trust me, everyone who works in a makeup lab is studying this train wreck rn). So this has nothing to do with the term "pressed pigment". Also, "pigment" isn't just one thing, and different types of pigments require different accompanying ingredients. Stephanie mentioned this in her video. If you're going to speak as a false-authority on pigments, you might want to learn what pigments actually are. The problem here is two-fold: a lack of binding ingredients (which are not put in eyeshadows to dilute them or make them cheaper--they're put in eyeshadows so that pigments, which do not naturally hold together, cling to skin or blend well on their own will hold together, cling to skin and blend well), and the extremely soft pressing. Those two things make for excellent swatches and terrible eyeshadows. Stephanie Nicole said outright that part of the reason she doesn't personally have a problem with the palette is that *it already suits the way she does her makeup*, and that people should not need to learn a new eyeshadow application technique to use a palette. Telling people not to use this palette the way they use every other palette because blahblahpigmentblah is absurd. That is not the palette working as intended. It's ABH doing damage control, and people, for whatever reason, rushing to defend them. This probably sounds very rude, but many people are presenting a misinterpreted second-hand opinion as fact here, and since this is my actual job on which I'm an actual authority, I'm over reading so many comments from laypeople speaking as authorities on eyeshadow formulation. I find these people rude af. You're not an expert. You don't know what you're talking about, and I find it offensive that on every single video there are like 20 of you giving a bunch of made up reasons why people who don't like the palette are wrong. To say that ABH didn't add "a bunch of binders" to preserve pigmentation belies a deep lack of understanding of how eyeshadows work, and in particular the types of eyeshadows with this formula--talc and oxides, essentially--which desperately needs binders. You know that "oxidation" people keep talking about? Yeah, that's not oxidation. That's what happens when you apply talc and oxides to the skin without the right accompanying ingredients. To address complaints about the swirl tests, it was to demonstrate how loosely pressed the Subculture shadows are compared to MR and other palettes that are considered "powdery". It makes perfect fucking sense. This channel destroys cosmetics every week, so if anyone was going to do it, it should be them. And also, as BN pointed out many times, this palette IS NOT PURE PIGMENT. Pure oxides, which is what most of the pigments in this palette are, are a fucking disaster if used on the skin alone. So yeah, sorrynotsorry, I'm just effing sick of this shit. Let me reiterate: repeating something from someone who sounds like they know what they're talking about does not make you an expert. Give ABH your feedback and let the actual cosmetic chemists work it out. FWIW, I wish ABH had done a stellar job with this palette, because I am sick to death of companies requesting the same 3 brown eyeshadow palettes. Sorry for the repeat comment, BN. I have to keep up with the "consumer conversation" for work, and I srsly want to rip my eyeballs out." THIS WAS NOT ME BY THE WAY

I understand what you are saying, and I appreciate your reasonable explanation. I also agree with you. However, I have seen several videos about the horrid results of blending these shadows. I understand shadows can get muddy with too much layering, but the colors of these shadows appear to be distorted when blended together, so extreme that the color and finish of the blended result does not reflect either the original color or finish of the pre-blended shadows.

Um...these are not pure pressed pigments. The first ingredient listed on each shadow is talc.

Love you for being so honest and apparently knowledge in regards to pigments! Thank you for being the first one putting it out there and demonstrating other eyeshadow palettes! I love my palette I only pic up tiny amount a color payoff is amazing!
@lindaloualou7 жыл бұрын
I just used this palette for the first time today and while I like the look I created, these eyeshadows are patchy and not up to par with the other ABH shadows I have. I don't agree with the statement that matte shadows are hard to blend. Viseart, Natasha Denona, Marc Jacobs shadows to name a few blend effortlessly. While I appreciate the pigment of the subculture shadows, something is missing in the formulation that would make them user friendly. After all, isn't that the point that your average person is able to use them?
@Midorigan7 жыл бұрын
That is the least of Subculture's issues.... Patchiness, oxidization, it is just a mess. Also, if you are going to spend 42 dollars for a palette you have to treat like a special ray of sunshine just go to the drugstore, spend 6 and just work that instead. Yes, it's super pigmented but in an eyeshadow palette blendability is way more important than pigmentation. Just my humble opinion, tho.

I feel the same way. There are many ways to work with this palette and if you get to know it a little it's a killer palette. People keep saying give us something other than a useless boring highlight palette or the same warm neutral red eyeshadow palette that I have in every brand. Abh came out with something visionary and some are being so over the top negative. I love it and all it's temperaments lol

Jayde Marquez I am in love with these colors. Had been waiting for these colors, especially the peaches, yellows, and teals together. Oh, I was so excited! I, however, want eyeshadow. I will be honest, I am not experienced enough or rich enough to spend $42 on a palette that has a learning curve. I want eyedhadows that I know how to use in colors that I love. So back to my little MUG wishlist I go.

britneeleighton I mean to each their own. What works for me won't work for the next person I've achieved gorgeous looks. I'm just saying I don't mind putting in a little more work for it. It's like that boyfriend that none of your friends like for you and your mom and dad wish he would just get lost, it may be a dud but it's my stud😍😂

Totally agree with you, Jayde! The problem is professional make up today became so accessible that even total illiterates started claiming that the brands "owe" them something: a "perfect" eyeshadow palette, liquid lipstick, poreless skin foundation or whatever other innovation in make up. It's sad that people who have nothing to do with real make up work in the industry are given the floor to determine what is a realiable product and what isn't. The professionals though have different opinions - even in the film industry or theater palettes like this can be used for various looks that involve thinking out of the box. Instagram make up looks do not require such creativity... And don't forget that make up has never been for collectioners only. It's primary use, particularly for professional products, is in the industry. We, the amateurs, can only be thankful for having make up democracy today - all make up can be bought freely by anyone. There' re no secrets to products. But please, be respectful to professionals! They know a thing or two better than us. ;) It's not all about our own illiterate egos!!! :(

My problem is calling it a sister palette to the Modern Renaissance, so everyone was expecting the same kind of shadows. If the majority of people buying it can't make it work and struggle with it because they aren't MUA's then in my eyes that's a fail. I'm glad I haven't purchased it.

Wayne, I love you, your honesty, humor, intelligence, spot on reviews, and so much more. You are an incredible person. Please keep on doing these videos for people like me who appreciate the excellent information you give (I dearly hope you get sponsors). I am at a loss as to why you wouldn't.

It seems like the issues with this palette are less about the kickback, and more about the oxidization and the way the pigment isn't sticking or blending on skin

When I have a product that produces a lot of fall out, I put the product on my brush, spray my brush with setting spray (lightly) and then apply the product. No fall out!

I just wanted to say that I've been watching your videos for YEARS and I've always loved your professional opinion. You're knowledge of how to correctly apply makeup is evident and super appreciated. I could watch a thousand different gurus tell me the same thing on a product, but you're genuinely unbiased and also consistent in the quality of videos you put out which are always so educational and have taught me more than any other KZbinr/makeup artist so thank you so much ❤️
@Cherylebreaux7 жыл бұрын
Wayne, I have the utmost respect for you. My problem is that if this is a pure pressed pigment, why call it the sister palette to Modern Renaissance? Why not explain to the consumer what they will be getting instead of leading people to think they were getting a MR type product but with different colors. We all know that formulas change from color to color but this is a completely different formula than their normal shadows. If they came out with something new and innovative or just different from their norm, why not put up some educational tutorials or even put the right brush with the palette? It just seems shady to me that they rode on the coat tails of the Modern Renaissance success by marketing it the way they did.

Why didn't you use it??? To make a Look? To show how it can be used as opposed to those other KZbinrs who are all saying it's shit.

Wise man! Love that you're making a great point about pigments and the fact that they need to be handle cautiously. Def a fan of yours long term. Some of the bad reviews seemed petty AF for beauty enhancers who should be able to handle different challenges accordingly

I recently tried this palette and LOVE it. Wish I would have tried it sooner. Yes, I agree that this applies just like every pressed pigment shadow I’ve ever tried, but it’s not hard to work with if you are prepared to treat it like the pressed pigment that it is.
