try flipping your filament around, in the video it looks like its coming out of the front, which is more strain to pull, try it so it feeds out of the back of the roll and you should have less hangups. Good luck!

Yes, this makes a huge difference, I think the instructions for the part muwiart printed actually say this. I printed a remix of that design with the handle and it said feed over the top of the spool not the bottom, no problems since.

Nice review, I purchased the Mini to do small things and with the stock nozzle it printed the PTFE tube clip perfect with the stock nozzle and fine setting. I bought into the Bambu Labs 'Spool/Refill' scheme as I'm tired of spending hours 'tweaking' settings on each spool of filament I buy. The stock setup works with the plastic spool from Bambu Labs, a poop bucket and deflector are a must to add. The downside from me has been lack of parts (hotend) and supplies (filament), Bambu is out of both here in the USA, it is the 'Season'.

Hi! Thanks for the comment. I agree with you. I hoped that it'd be equipped with more things too.
@vinnieyang542216 күн бұрын
You need a filament dryer/dehydrator because the ambient moisture is getting into the filament, making it less malleable and causing the spool is stuck error. It's counter intuitive but it'll even help improve your prints.

Thanks so much for such a helpful, clear and informative video. That was super useful as I’m on the verge of entering the 3D printing world and you’ve reassured me that this is the model to go for and how to deal with potential issues. BambuLab offer various extras when you order but, for a beginner, it’s hard to know what to choose and there is pretty much no help out there. Your comment on the 0.2mm nozzle and PLA were really appreciated. I’m also tempted by the combo kit - have you tried that? Looking forward to making g models for my grandkids. Tx again. 👍 ps - have subscribed and liked.
@muwiart25 күн бұрын
Hi, thank you for your comment. I really appreciate it! About the extended kit, I've been thinking getting it. But for now I only need 1 filament for my figures. Once I'll need multiple material/colors then I'll probably get it. I haven't made a full research, but it's apparently pretty good but it takes a lot of area space - it no longer is a "mini-kit".
@mhouslay728124 күн бұрын
Hi I received and installed my combo a week ago. It’s amazing. I’m loving it. Just wonderful to watch as well. Have printed lots of stuff from maker world and am now learning Bambu studio to modify and, hopefully, create. The AMS works well so I’m glad I bought it. Thanks so much for your video - it totally helped me to decide on what to buy. All best wishes and Happy New Year.

To take printed figures easier after print I'd suggest taking bed plate and bend it a bit. It'll work even with still hot prints and the plate will remain flat. 😊

so far I've only had one problem with my A1 mini. the filament sensor switch in tool head got stuck in the open position The software was reporting that filament was loaded even when it wasn't. I knew it wasn't a blockage as I could put filament in by hand and and hit extrude. but I could not load any filament automatically as it goes through an unload procedure first and then fails at that point when it reads the sensor and thinks the previous filament did not unload correctly I was able to resolve this by taking apart the tool head and resetting the small lever under the filament sensor.

@pavelperina76292 ай бұрын
My major annoyance is that external spool holder is not wide enough (some spools are 70mm wide) and without that mod you showed, when arm goes up after print, it unwinds spool and when it goes down, it losens it and filament goes over the edge. Another minor complain is that with AMS lite it's not compact at all, quite the opposite. Then I would not call it quiet at all, with matte PLA and 0.4mm nozzle, it can go really fast and it produce lot of vibrations and also there is fan noise when printing overhangs. PETG is silent thou.
@muwiart2 ай бұрын
I had exactly this issue. My spools come in large format and so it occasionally would just pop right off the spool holder 😅. I truly am so glad it doesn't happen to me anymore ever since I printed the adjustment.

Same, my filament is stuck, how to fix
@israelrobles6812 ай бұрын
Hello! I see you make traditional art too. and see your issue with layer lines. first check if you are printing too fast. Maybe a coat of primer can fix that, I use wood filler too to fill the lines and then a small sanding and priming do the magic. Your dolls would look like resin printed.
@muwiart2 ай бұрын
Hey! Thanks for your comment. I haven't tried adjusting the speed yet, but perhaps it'd be better if printed slow. I use primer, but just an acrylic art one. I'm considering maybe more industrial type of primer. I usually fill in with wall putty and sand it but it doesn't fill all the gaps as the putty grains are too large😅 so thanks for the tip!

These "bad" parts are just a joke. Bed size too small? It's called a mini for a reason, if you want a bigger size, you get the bigger one. Same as for the nozzle - I'd understand if you couldn't change it, but it's shipped with a "neutral" size. The 0.2 has a very specific case use.
@muwiartАй бұрын
The “bad” parts might be seen as inconveniences for some people, depending on how they use the printer. Is ender better than bambu?
@mythicalgamer78222 ай бұрын

@twanlange28272 ай бұрын
You could make an ender better than a bambu if you invest into upgrades. It would end up costing much more than just buying a bambu, take loads of work, might be a bit janky, but if you like tinkering then it might be a nice challenge. Some people like tinkering with the printer more than actually printing
@muwiart2 ай бұрын
I had Ender 3 since 2019 and it's definitely a big difference compared to the newer printers. So I can't compare. However, there's a common comparison between the Bambu A1 and Ender 3 V3 and it comes up close in review videos. But I still chose Bambu as I think it has better overall specs and experience.

The filament feeder location is a big design flaw over which I am currently in a legal battle with Bambu Lab. They should issue a proper recall. I lost so many prints to the filament wrapping around the spool holder arm. Other than that, a great printer, especially for the price.

I saw a lot of complaints about the feeder in the community. Went through it a few times when my print suddenly had an issue mid-printing and that really bothered me. Luckily, I don't print over 5 hours otherwise I'd go crazy if it suddenly stopped before it was finished. Good luck with your case! 😊
