Really enjoying the continued disbelief all the way to the beach "nooo, that's not Eastwinds?! That can't be it! It's just rocks!" 😂

I actually saw eastwind in the previous episode while you were looking around. but you didn't notice it

@@PorthosUK Maybe you can double check it for me, I think 27:27 was eastwind. I really want this game to have multiplayer and big ships.. but all the discussions suggest that it's not going to happen :/
@PorthosUK Жыл бұрын
I think that may have been Eastwind yes, but I'm not 100% sure. Would explain why I couldn't tell what it was when i was naming them all. Multiplayer is on the road map if you check out the official discord. Brigs are pretty big, not many that are bigger. maybe galleons or ship of the lines. Hope you enjoyed the episode anyway, thank you for the comment!

I rewatched it, and you are right, that was indeed Eastwind Porthos actually looked at Eastwind thought the spyglass and thought it was Fort Aestrin (and even said so), but he actually was so close to Eastwind that he could see itin plain sight, just happened that its so small that he thought the small hills were actually an island very far away instead of really small hills but very close.

I'll be excited to see what you do with the new customization options in the beta for the Sanbuq. The bigger rudder is a must-have!
@PorthosUK Жыл бұрын
I find the customisation very confusing, maybe if they had some pre-set builds I might give them a go. A bigger rudder does sound good though. What is likely is that we try the Cog pretty soon and see how square sails feel. :)
@rustyshackleford1687 Жыл бұрын
@@PorthosUK I've had the same experiences with customization as you. I've had some luck with the Cog but any attempt with the Sanbuq feels kind of buggy still. I tried a bunch of different configurations but I just couldn't get any real speed compared to the default so I switched back but kept the improved rudder. Definitely some potential once it gets ironed out. I love your idea for pre-set builds. Selecting a Caravel or Schooner configuration and then making slight tweaks from there would much easier.

Hey porthos! i started this series about a week ago, way, way behind on episodes, but, now here i am in real time! i played this game about 100 hours in the last few weeks, won't give away any spoilers, but, just want to say eastwind is a trade hub of the region, you will be finding this place easy in no time, some of those potions from alchemist island would be a game changer for you, oh, and take a good look at getting the Brig, it is the best ship in the game,, last thing, legend tells of another area that can only be accessed when you reach max rep
@PorthosUK Жыл бұрын
So, did you watch all the episodes in a week?! or are you still catching up? We'll be getting the brig last probably, sine it does appear to be the biggest and potentially the best. :) I have heard of this mystical place, yes. :) Looking forward to it. Thank you for your comment, I love hearing about people enjoying a binge of the episodes. It's a great compliment! :D

Well for once im commenting on time instead of the next day or two days later. This has indeed been a very entertaining video, specially your disbelief that it was actually Eastwind; you just had a minor navigational misshap, because you went all the way around to the top of Siren Song, you actually went nearly all the way up the North offset of Eastwind. Well at least now you are on the island with the best trade goods of all Aestrin (because damn its also a contender with Albacore town for worst harbour ever, just that its goods are too profitable to ignore), so you may want to know what goods are those, well its copper and Iron, very expensive, very heavy cargo, but with massive profit margins. So, a last tip: navigation between Eastwind and Fort Aestrin is kinda easy,you just need to keep a perfect NW or SE course and you will most likely get there, usually a full bar sleep will get you most of the way.

Looks like we'll be going all heavy metal in the next episode! Thank you for your kind comment! It means a lot to know people are enjoying the vids!

Yes, the new economy requires you to think, plus you must also take your own goods, or it takes forever to get the money to buy a bigger ship.

@@obiwanfisher537 Sorry I only just saw this. KZbin often makes it hard for me to find replies. I opened up the old edit that I have saved and at the moment you timestamped it is Surge Of Snakes by Jon Bjork, closely followed by (without much of a gap so that you might think they are the same music piece) Between Dreams (Ambient Ethno Version) by Jon Bjork again. Hope that helps. :)
