Been following your channels for the past month or so and becoming a huge fan of it. I’m loving your contents on Disney/theme parks for international travelers guide and the insight on the Merch & FOOD!! Lol. I have a question, if I’m traveling there in the fall, and was able to book a flight to arrive 4:30am at the HND airport… Will there be any transportation like the airport limo buses or the train open early before 7am to get arrive at the Disney’s resort hotels? Thank you for providing your insight & life in Japan!

The love for what you do shines. Your attention to detail is so appreciated. My daughter just turned 1 and I’m planning a trip to Land and Sea. As someone who calls Tokyo my second home, I’ve never had an interest in visiting Disney. Having a child has changed that. I was on the fence as to whether to take her. Having since watched your breakdown, we’re going at the end of August. Again, thank you for producing such a high quality set of content that educates and preps newbies. I’m consider your guidebook if it makes sense. 180 pages is a bit daunting, but it speaks to your depth and thoroughness. Consider breaking it down into sections and selling them individually; Such as the section on whether or not to stay at the Park. Have a wonderful day. 😊

I am torn between liking this non written rule whenever visiting Tokyo Disneyland/Sea. On one hand it's very orderly and makes a very good experience watching parades etc. On the other hand, people wait for like 3 hours before the show to secure the best spots.. I don't think I can justify 3 hours waiting in the same spot wasting time when I could do something else in between... 😅

Queuing experiences are cultural. It's really annoying to me when a person behind me gives me no room behind me and standing within inches of my back. When the line is one person wide, what's the deal with standing so close to me? Why? There's no difference if you stand 2 feet from the person in front of you or not. It's still a line and there's no increase in speed by standing close behind the person in front. (cultural?)

Btw, how do you feel about Disneyland Paris - comparison please 🤩💗🌸🌷
@19800910Ай бұрын
@@Lindy88888 Hi Lindy, sorry that I missed your question about DLPR. Ok, so the first thing is that Disneyland Paris was the fourth Disneyland park that was built (1992). Disneyland Paris does a nice job of making a European version of Disneyland Anaheim, they do have the best “Pirates of the Caribbean” ride of all the Disney parks (yes, I have been to them all). I do have the feeling that it is smaller than Tokyo Disneyland even when it is not. Maybe that is due to good crowd control and dispersion design of the park? Disneyland Paris does have better food and restaurants options then Tokyo, sorry. If you can, stay at the Disneyland Hotel. You will need less than 5 minutes to enter the park from your hotel room. It’s like staying at the hotel MiraCosta at DisneySea. If you can, plan five full days for your first visit, the meal plan is a good thing too. After your 2ed visit and you have seen it all and you know what you what to do and eat, you can drop the meal plan and like me just hit the food carts and eat your way thru Disneyland and Walt Disney Studios at your leisure.

I don't want to say that I regret having rope dropped on our 3 days in the parks, each day arriving aprox. 1.5 hours before opening, but retrospectively don't think it was necessary as lines were long right in the beginning but settled after a couple of hours. We were also there in July (last year) and it wasn't too busy though, with lines being between 20 and 40min. Probaly worth doing so on busy days. It's definitely super hectic to rope drop and standing in line for over an hour even before getting in.

As someone who goes always with hardcore Disney Japanese otaku since I was in high-school, people usually come that early to get DPA for the parades (this madness started after covid) to take good pictures of the characters. If they start selling new items, the lines will be crazy and people will line up over night as you need a Standby-pass and can get it only if you enter as early as possible the park. YES, people resell even happy-entry passes for this purpose and because the reseller madness is insane and many new items might already be sold out on the first day. So, if you aren't crazy about getting particular goods, getting the best seats on the ground for the parade, it's ok to arrive and rope drop at 7:30-8:30
@franklee5387 ай бұрын
Rope drop is the same at every Disney park. The Japanese are especially hardcore at waiting in lines but once everyone gets in, it’s just like any other Disney park. Social media is just sensationalizing it.

We stayed on property to get in early which was great but the crowds ended up, in the middle of the day, became insane. Four hours to wait in a line is unacceptable.

Tokyo Disney is busy because they are the only two parks left in the world that value Walt Disney, the domestic parks are dying out. Most people are taking their business here from the states and they have to contend with the Japanese population as well. This issue will only continue to get worse over time, especially when reality sets in and people see the disaster that replaced Splash Mountain.

We just returned from Tokyo and catching up on your videos. Your videos were extremely helpful for our visit. We arrived on the evening of April 8 and had an awesome experience entering the parks over 5 days. Our early entry tickets for the parks were printed as 8:45 entry, so we walked out to the entrance at about 8:20, cleared security quickly and were in the middle of the early entry crowd. At 8:45 we started moving and we noticed that they opened all gates in front of the non hotel guest to either side of early entry so we were in the park in less than 5 minutes. We booked Beauty as a premier and booked a priority pass for Monsters as well for 9:15 and at 9:15 we booked a second ride. So as you’re pointing out there is no need to worry about the long lines in the morning and as a hotel guest there is no reason to get down there extremely early.

We used weeknight entry 5pm-9pm last week (April 2024) for both parks and I thought we'd just walk around for a look and see the parades but we got to ride Indiana Jones, 20,000 leagues and 2 smaller rides in Disneysea and Beauty and the Beast, Monsters Inc, Splash Mountain and two smaller rides in Disneyland as well as taking tonnes of photos and getting front row views for both parades! My tips are to watch the app lines, position yourselves so that when parades end you're near something good and choose your weeknight dates to avoid big events. It was incredible and I'd totally recommend doing this for people with little time in Tokyo.

Not sure if it changed since, but a couple years back, if you didn’t get to the park 2 1/2 hours early, you would just miss out on so much cuz rides would literally close their lines after a certain point so you really could only get on most rides before 2-3 pm and of those, the really popular ones sold out and were basically only rideable if you got in and reserved a place within 15 min of rope drop so you HAD to be near the front

Question: The week AFTER Golden Week should be relatively dead, right? Your recommended crowd calendar indicates so, but others indicate it'll be just as busy as any day in summer. I assume given how big a deal Golden Week is that if I went AFTER, then there should be less people because all the locals have spent their time off and money during Golden Week? I went in January this year and it was so busy, not like 100% packed, but still like 80%, which was SUPER unexpected given the information provided in the past. The fact I get to go again this year is exciting, but I'm so worried I'm going to have massive crowds again for what I presume should be a relatively light time?

What did you have for breakfast? I’m always curious what places are open early near theme parks over there. Like anything that’s open before 10am.

I always get there around 7:30-7:45 and wait, but my toddler HAAAATES the waiting (and not moving) So for our trip next month I'm gonna keep it casual and *gulp* arrive after opening. We just went in March so other than Baymax and Splash Mountain (3yo's faves) we don't have any big MUST DO'S. I'm hoping the extra sleep and full breakfast lets us last until closing lol

If you don't need to be there first thing then definitely strolling up later is a good idea!

What are the lines usually like at the very beginning of March? Like the first week?😅

As my daughter stopped talking to me, we'll probably never get to the last 2 parks HK and Tokyo, but as one question. I would assume that even in long lines the Japanese are much more rules oriented than those of Shanghai? We experienced the rampant line cutting that they do there. Also, as you've been to HK, is it the same way as Shanghai?

Long lines and dense crowds means they are not charging enough for tickets?

TDR, what is it like if you stay at the hotels connected to the park? Is there a separate entrance for guests?

I don’t think lines were ever too bad to get in. It was always the absurdly long lines for the rides that got me the few years I lived there.

Does every person in the party need to go through security or just those carrying a bag? If so, can those who need to do security find the rest of their party waiting in line after they finish security check? Thanks. Really appreciate your videos!
