There's no alibi for crime .... unless you have money and control the press, funny how nothing really ever changes.

That and the fact that there ARE alibis for crime. In fact, there are about 7,888,000,000 for every single crime. I've got to admit though, if that dude would have said "as of 1850 there were more than 1,200,000,000 alibis for that crime", the dame would have given him a weird look, and a lot of the audience would have left perplexed.

@@billsmith5166 I don't think you understand the concept of an Alibi. An Alibi is something that can be verified AKA proven. Anyone can say I was there at this time however if said person has no witnesses or those witnesses can't stand up to scrutiny their Alibi isn't SH#+. In this case it is clearly a case of the rich landowners getting away with murder as we have witnesses and their own admission that they hung them. No Albi is needed these men should have all hanged but they didn't because everyone was in on the corruption... which brings me back to our own current days state of events and how nothing really ever changes.

@@loslobos786 Alibi definition: the plea of having been at the time of the commission of an act elsewhere than at the place of commission the fact or state of having been elsewhere at the time I was only referring to the final statement taken from the movie. The fact that there were at least 1,200,000,000 people in the world that could prove that they didn't commit the crime that the movie dude referenced. Therefore the statement he made was silly and could have been changed by the writers before it was filmed. That's my only point. Obviously, there were a lot of other things wrong with the movie.

This is such an underrated channel. I never thought my interest would be peaked by 1800s Wyoming ranching politics, but here we are.

Thank you for the link to my video on Ella Watson. Your presentation on the incident is one of the best I've watched or read. I just found your channel. As a practicing volunteer historian, I am very impressed with your knowledge of Wyoming events. I plan to watch more of your work. Kind Regards, Evan Green.

Not much has changed over the years in the justice system. Once again very well done. I like your sense of humor. Evan at the Wyoming State Museum is quite the character.

Book by George Hufsmith concludes that Ellen Watson (Cattle Kate) was not a prostitute, just a hard-working homesteader who refused to bow down to the big boys.

What kills be about this story is James Averall. He was an ex soldier, like myself, he has seen a lot of sh*t go down. That said, when they rode up, I would have already had my and on cocked shot gun or rifle. If all this happened Nate Champion, should have saw he and the other homesteaders were next. He should have attacked. The only way you are going stop some one who stacks the deck against you, even if you are not stealing, is fight like they do.
