I really enjoyed that. I watch too many videos where basically professional cyclists cruise round these things making it look really easily. Well done for sticking with it in the bad weather. I’d love to do this one day. As you know a few things make things more comfortable. A better sleep system, lower gears and bigger tyres Oh and finally how do you have the patience to stop and film when you are back to the wall, amazing

@@tallteacher honestly i have no idea how we were able to capture most of our ups and downs, some days were super tough but so glad we got the videos! thanks for watching, we wish we had better bikes & systems but the struggle is part of the fun sometimes haha

Guys. I really like you two, and can definitely relate to you being extremely tired in the end. But. I live near Follonica and the "mud pool" you were complaining about is "Le mucche trail", one of the easiest around here. Granted, usually it's not THAT muddy but... This is *exactly* what Tuscany is about. We're basically wild boars disguised as men :) We love us some chunky gravel, some roots, some mud. The "strade bianche" you guys love so much become *boring* after a while. The point is: you were extremely underbiked, a hardtail OR a proper gravel with some decent tire and hydraulic brake would have made your life much, much easier. Tuscany is this: a beautiful place with many "postcard-like" vistas and "strade bianche" but also with a lot of wild and rough terrain. And a lot of country roads made of badly worn out asphalt, too. That said, congratulations! You made it despite the non-ideal setup. Next time, come more prepared, tho. Ciao!

@@ilcinghialeinsalita first, thank you for your kind words! definitely was a challenge and we loved that it was! we wouldn’t have done it if it was easy! but we definitely want to come back and be more prepared, we know our bikes were not ideal unfortunately couldn’t bring our own :/

Amazing video!!. I will definitely be using this video to convince my partner to go on a bike packing trip with me. I have not been successful so far but fingers crossed. The drone shots are really breathtaking and the commentary was really fun. Looking forward to more content!!

Thank you for your kind words - and you guys NEED to go! If you need any more convincing maybe book hotels in advance when the 2025 trail map is released 😂

Wow guys that was awesome! Congratulations on completing this. I’ll be doing the trail next year and I feel I need more info. Like what brand of bikes did you used (you mentioned one gear)? Where in Italy did you rent your bags? Again, well done! That was super cool!
@OnTodaysAdventure3 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! If you watched our first video on the TT we actually have a section where I talk a lot more about how we did it and where we rented our bikes from and everything! ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/r5SlXouBnsRqpNk ) For starters, Smile and Ride in Pisa was our bike + bag rental place and we would highly recommend them. In the future before next years Tuscany Trail we will post a video that is very specific for more info like this so subscribe (if you haven’t already 😅) so you don’t miss it!

I didn't appreciate that you joked with the "fazzoletti" (not SCARVES!) of the Contrade of Siena. For many people those symbols, those colors, are SACRED and seeing two Americans who don't know and don't understand what and how deep feelings they arouse, disappointed me.
@OnTodaysAdventure3 ай бұрын
thank you for your concern, before the Tuscany Trail we spent some time with locals of Siena who taught us the history and culture of the Contrade. they told us about their neighborhood and welcomed us in as guests. we loved it so much and were excited to share this tradition with others. sorry if we offended you, it was not our intention.
