If you play DB, why wouldn’t you want to go where the best DB of all time will be available to coach you up 24/7? This isn’t a Power 5 vs FBS or Alabama vs Jackson State thing. Hunter doesn’t need to go to a place that brings in scouts & media attention bc HE WILL BRING SCOUTS + all the attention he wants. If he balls out at JSU & crushes the combine he will be a 1st round pick, regardless of where he went to school.

I agree with this for sure, put this perspective as well, before PWI became these power houses HBCU were the predominant powerhouses. They are trying to change that. It took one person to push the envelope forward with HBCU getting exposure. That’s why you see a lot of popular ex-nfl players and great nfl coaches are in HBCU now. PWI (Alabama) is upset for a game that’s been played for years. He has a great mentor in Primetime. Why not learn from the best. Look at the track record with I Am Athlete when primetime sat down with the cast. Listen to what Prime said throughout the interview. Travis wanted to be apart of the HBCU great such as Walter Payton coming from Jackson State. As an HBCU guy, I like to see the diversity to show them that you can make it from anywhere. I won’t be surprised seeing more kids go to HBCU’s. Do your research and remember where college athletics came from. Don’t get upset when things start changing when too recruits start going to HBCU’s. That’s why some of these top recruits that played at PWI transferred out as well to HBCU’s.

One part about NIL deals that people don’t seem to understand is that if you’re a player with a HUGE social media following then your NIL deals are far more lucrative! Regardless of whether you “pan out” as a great athlete.
@tjanderson5892
@tjanderson5892 2 жыл бұрын
This is the best time for NILs and athletes really. Eventually the programs are gonna wise up, but for now they’re throwing money at any 4 and 5 star recruit. In a few yrs they’ll start realizing that half the recruits that collect from massive NIL deals don’t pan out at all. Even on teams like Bama, there’s usually 5 maybe 6 guys that really have national name recognition that can justify heavy NIL deals. Even tho the teams full of 100 plus 4 and 5 star recruits. Boosters not gonna be happy seeing hundreds of thousands of their dollars going to the 85th and 86th players on the roster who don’t ever see the field. So players need to get all that they can while they can imo bc eventually these deals will start to be tiered and structured im predicting

They can only have 85 scholarship players on any one team. And no team has that many 4 and 5 star recruits
@tjanderson5892
@tjanderson5892 2 жыл бұрын
@@wesleyowens4089 ya can technically have more reaching up to around 90 depending on credits remaining and graduation dates. Some guys will graduate in the fall and free up a spot for another scolly to be offered. Then technically ya have multiple players on a single scholarship in a school yr. And when ya consider current players and future commits along w/ JC transfers, having 100 4 and 5 star guys lined up isnt unheard of. A&Ms 22 class has 28 4/5 star commits. So in a couple yrs havin 100 players who were all at one time a 4/5 commit isn’t out of the question. Sure, 100 was a bit of hyperbole, but the sentiment doesn’t change. A better example could be multiple incoming QBs who’ve been offered substantial NILs when inevitably one or 2 likely won’t work out. Like Blake Barnett may have offered a bunch of NIL deals coming into Bama only to lose out and never win the starting job. Money spent on him would arguably be a waste.
@SwankySandGaming
@SwankySandGaming Жыл бұрын
@@tjanderson5892 dude your post is a waste. You make it seem like all of these guys are greeting NIL deals almost half of the players aren't. The millions and high thousands of dollars are going to the QBs that are 5 stars. Same with the NFL. Stop making it seem like everyone is getting money like that. Nothing will change. This money will keep flowing the way it did this year and years to come.
@tjanderson5892
@tjanderson5892 Жыл бұрын
@@SwankySandGaming I never said everyone is gettin the big money. But you’re also dead wrong saying that only the highly touted QBs are gettin deals. Even small school like Montana State have NIL deals for their players. And ever position at the big schools have NIL opportunities. Idk who told you it was just QBs. But even if you’re argument was true, it doesn’t disprove my point. Quin Ewers at UT is endorsed for around a mill so far reportedly. But he may not work out and have Manning taking his spot in a couple yrs. Then ya have all programs that have been paying players for decades on the DL already. Before they we able to toss em 10-15k and let em drive leases to get em to commit. So if they didn’t work out or decomitted it’s not a big hit financially. But w/ the NIL ya have to openly compete w/ schools w/ more booster money. Deals are gettin up to millions before guys have even played. And there’s gonna be a bunch of guys like their always is that don’t worm out at their position. Now they’ll have collected hundreds of thousands to be a bust. In a few yrs it’ll be regulated a little more to protect boosters money and schools investments. You’re a fool of ya can’t see that. But you’ve already shown everyone that you’re not the brightest

Travis switched from Florida State to Jackson State for this one reason. Travis wanted Florida State to be the next Deion Sander. Saban's apology: Hours after Jimbo Fisher blasted Nick Saban and labeled him a narcissist after questionable comments from the Alabama coach, Saban apologized to not just the Texas A&M coach but also Deion Sanders. “I should have never singled anybody out,” Saban said on ESPNU radio’s Off-Campus. “That was a mistake and I apologize for that part of it." He later added, “I really wasn’t saying anybody did anything illegal in using NIL. That was something assumed by what I said. It’s not what I meant. There’s nothing illegal about doing this. It’s the system. That’s the issue I have.” Saban not only said the Aggies “bought every player,” but he also went after Jackson State on Wednesday. Saban said, via Khari Thompson of the Mississippi Clarion Ledger, “Jackson State paid a guy a million dollars last year that was a really good Division I player to come to school. It was in the paper. They bragged about it. Nobody did anything about it.” Wow Saban is shook. I guess that 33-18 beating humbled him enough to make him second guess who he runs his little grubby mouth towards! 33-18 HUMBLED Saban, and the aLabana fans are having a HARD TIME accepting it!!!!!!!
