Ahhh, thanks for this. I love marble and now I feel more at-ease about putting it in my home.

I love the stems in all your vases❤ Marble is my favorite hard surface….I have granite in my kitchen and bath (previous owner).

Thank you for sharing this…. Everyone is so hyper concerned… natural materials ALWAYS age better! In Europe we have it everywhere. Sometimes it is aged on purpose!

What are those more resilient materials?

Great video as it was very informative. Do you seal your marble regularly? If so, how often? Thanks!!

Are you painting the trim in these rooms the same colour as the walls? Are your ceilings painted the same colour as the walls, or are you using a white for the ceilings?

Kelly, do you recommend/prefer polished marble or honed marble? I understand the differences of both, I just want to know if in terms of care and durability if you feel one is better than the other. I’m down to the wire now on getting my countertop slab selected, so hope to get your response soon :) thanks

Both have their pros and cons :-) Honed marble is more scratch resistant than polished but it is more susceptible to staining. You will also see water stains more on polished. Since one isn't necessarily more durable than the other, I suggest you go with the look that appeals to you more.

@@kellyhopterinteriors thanks so much, Kelly! Really appreciate your response. Ultimately I just need to decide which ‘look’ I want.

Do you feel like statement marbles are timeless? I am feeling that they might start to date a home? Any thoughts?
