I love this. Amazing heart in this man! Possible question - is there ways to get hired if you’re an immigrant? My guy is a lifer in CT. I have Masters degree in psychology. I worked with juveniles and adults for many years. However I am from Canada and I chose to stay here because I never wanted any chance of accusations. Working in prisons while your man is in one - I never would cross that line but it’s easier to be far away from any gossip. My guy is hoping I move out there. He loves seeing me. And he wants to see our daughter. Travel is really expensive. But when I apply, I am not a US citizen and that process would take a few years. I’ve been told there’s something wrong with me being a white person involved with a black man. I hear the race thing from both sides. Which doesn’t bother me but it isn’t easy to explain to my kids. That people are just people. Ignore the wrong. I told mine that I would move to CT if I got a job that takes care of my basic bills and the kids. Am I hoping for too much, trying to find something in my field? I’m in my 40s and I don’t know if that’s just not possible, I should stop trying to apply. I have no issues with hard work. I know immigration will be easier if I had a job in my field or similar. Plus I hope to put my education and experience to use helping others. My guy got his education including paralegal in prison. He’s encouraging me to be proud of my education and experience and keep trying that

If you’re a legal immigrant, you can always get hired. Any legal citizen can get hired.

@@DrWillJamesReports I was told you need to have a full green card. Which is up to 7 year process. Maybe rules vary state to state?

FYI if you think CDL is an answer over college or option making that kind of cash you're so wrong. It's a cut throat, family wrecker, high cost as owner, and stressful paid by the mile job. I drove team with hubby for 6 years and believe me it's not a piece of cake nor huge money maker. Sorry jmo
