Ian your channel has become my favorite. I have never even had a ticket and I have no plans to get in trouble and end up locked up but I am so hooked. I found out about you on TikTok - an interview you did talking about your high school days in a suit lol. My tat and then cover up on the top of my foot and around the ankle hurt so bad.. the ankle bone area and the very top of the foot towards the toes…it’ll wake you up.

I joined the Vagos after getting out of the military. After a while, I learned that the guys I was with weren’t going anywhere in life and they really weren’t about anything. They were living off of a standard instead up to one. I joined to have standards to live up to, not to hang at bars with a puffed out chest living off of the reputation that the old times created. I made the decision to leave and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. They never supported me going to college while I was in the club. Anytime I had to leave a party early as a full patch, I always heard about the lamest dudes in the charter complaining about it behind my back. But the moment the topic of my graduation came up, they spoke about throwing me a party. Literally didn’t support the entire process, but any opportunity they could take to waste their lives, they had to take. Thats when I knew I had to go. It wasn’t what I thought it was. So many lame dudes who have been given a patch just for their number. So much internal drama. The people we had to worry about the most were our own people. I thought about going a different direction when I was asked, but it’s not worth it at all. If I could go back in time, I would’ve never joined. I am playing catchup to my peers now. But, I have a very positive life now and I have great things to work for instead of just a piece of cloth which holds no real value in today’s world.

I’m just curious for those in the know… What’s the attraction in joining a 1% club? They don’t really appear to be crazy outlaws living by their own rules outside of society like a bunch of animals anymore like they seemed in times past. It all seems very tame now, and very political and regimented. I mean, I guess they still party together or something on the weekends? What’s the fun part? I guess I just don’t understand the attraction. Is there really a feeling of deep brotherhood? Seems like there is always a bunch of drama. They aren’t just fighting and drinking and f**king all the time? They just do mandatory charity runs and planned events and periodic runs to corporate sponsored motorcycle rally’s on super expensive bikes? Sounds kinda boring, really and more bother than it’s worth. The old days seem like the legendary times! Only the super hardcore seemed like “outlaw bikers” in those days. It doesn’t seem like there’s much 1% stuff going on, other than joining a traditionally “outlaw club”. Maybe there is more to it than I understand, but the more videos like this that I see, the less I understand why someone would want to join, but I’m truly curious.
