Stupid Question: Who employs the Performamce Coach? The team or the driver?

Team, which is why Pyry didn't move to Alpine with Gasly. Drivers have influence over the decision though, Michael & DR were friends growing up and that's most likely why he worked with him in F1.

@@usahillo thanks🤙 Micheal's situation confused me that's why I asked.

It can be both tho. As the previous comment pointed out, Pyry is emplyed with Redbull which is why he moved with Pierre for 2019 but not for Alpine. As Michael said tho, he was reached out to by Daniel so it can be the the driver. I know Kimi and Seb had a singlar trainer. Also while they met at Merc, I feel like Angela was with Lewis more then she was with Merc. A creator like Kym Illman has a lot of imfomation on that sorta thing

Depens, eg. Seb have personally employed his, Gasly has Pyry(idk why he didnt move with him to Alpine), I guess Dan has employed Michael or just spoke him always with him to different teams, Mick have personal -- it really much depens of the driver

Is there anyway when F1 turns up to Miami the sport could stop putting the drivers next to 7 feet tall NFL players, it just makes them look inadequate.

Besides the neck F1 drivers really aren't athletes imo. Not really a brutal sport on the body & little risk of injury.

@@lion14fire Yep you don't get many injuries in F1 at all that leave you on the sidelines or end your career like other sports. Saftey in the sport has come a long way with only 1 death in F1 sine 1994. Other sports have bigger constant risks of heart attacks, cardiac arrests or concussions vs F1. Obviosuly a good thing, but the risk is very little & generally sporting wise they're on the lower end of 'atheltes'. Just saying, post DTS has made a real meal of how physical it is when it kinda ain't.
