Jaguar has aged out of this current generation of buyers - nobody under 30 cares about Jaguar. They needed a splashy show display NOT a big, overblown branding move. It's loud and forgettable in a few months and will amount to nothing. They could easily freshen their brand without having to be so British - low, sleek, mysterious and undeniably upscale would work wonders for them. Redo the E-Type and push it further with sleeker, platform-free design exercise.

JLR is doing pretty well at the moment (especially with the more expensive cars) and Forbes liked the re-branding. Forbes readers are the people with the money to buy expensive cars... But yes, I get your last sentiment, though I think the insanity is to vote for president who wants to throw out democracy and become a dictator.

@@jesseholladay5862 There has never been any proof (quite the contrary). The Trump-Raffensperger phone call showed that Trump was trying to manipulate the election. Fox News settled with Dominion for $ 787 Million because they knew it was cheaper than loosing the lawsuit. Trump has claimed to have proof but never actually presented it (also, he was the president overseeing that election).
