If Blizzard would implement a hard to earn ingame currency, like comp-creds or whatever they're called, to work towards unlocking such skins every now and then, I would be truly excited.

I don't get it collab skins cost like $20 a pop and Dva already has better skins that fit character personality, have cooler SFX, or are more out there or high concept. Especially when Dva just got the Le Seraphim skin. This def was Porsche's idea.

I mean, these colabs work well in games like Fortnite, and they've worked well so far here in Overwatch, so this doesn't seem wild to me. DVa is one of my mains, but supercars don't do a lot for me so this particular colab doesn't really spark my interest, but that's okay and can totally see an audiance for this and suspect it will do very well. I LOVED the Le Sserafim and One Punch colabs, and even though this Porche one isn't my jam, it still has a similar vibe to it. And honestly I don't begrudge Blizzard doing this kinda stuff. There's a lot of far worse things they could be doing to monetise the game. This is one of the lesser evils for sure.

I imagine Dva being a fan of JDM or American Muscle over exotic/luxury cars. Makes more sense to me considering her cinematic starts with her hanging out with her friend working on her mech while they celebrate her on TV. When I think of Porche I think of fat old men wearing bright pastel golf clothes. I think overwatch is being handled by bottom of the barrel personnel now. I could be wrong, but I imagine both Porche and Blizzard are desperate to gain attention in the current economy. Nonetheless, in my opinion, it would make more sense to have an Initial D crossover where Dva gets a few new skins. That would be way more sick imo as you'd have a few skins based on the various Racing teams in the anime and their cars. I feel this would also fit Dva better as a character and based on her design with all the Decals on her mech by default. But I can expect Blizzard to completely miss the mark so they can secure this crossover with Porche.

I've snubbed my nose at buying any expensive skins from OW. Feeling like I was above it. This Porsche skin won't do it for me either (although it looks great); but there are other Collab ideas that might. If they ever did The Lord of the Rings skins or Dune, I'd drop that money instantly, no matter the cost!!! You hear that Blizzard? No matter the cost! Genji in a stillsuit anyone? Reinhart/Treebeard?
