The Truth Behind Whang-Od's Tattoo Experience

Dreams do come true as my milestone travel vlog to Buscalan, Tinglayan, Kalinga, Philippines to get my tribal mambabatok tattoo from the LEGEND, 106 year old APO Whang-od, also known as Maria Oggay and man was she feisty after my 3 dots 😃.
She has been tattooing the indigenous people of Butbut since she was 15 years old to include headhunters back in the day, women and butbut warriors. It's true what they say as I was emotional in her presence.
I'd also like to shout out to an up & coming LEGEND in her own right, Ateh Moon Lee, who assisted me in my designs.
My 10 hour road trip from Metro Manila BGC was made possible because of Guide to the Philippines, with Hamley Dee, and the LEGEND Driver Kuya Jess, maneuvering through some dangerous roads, and lastly Ateh Isabel our guide.
This was a magical, emotional and spiritual journey. My love for the Philippines continues to grow.
