I would still trim Ernie's back legs to look exactly like his front legs and his coat uniform the same way as Annie's is.You can always sedate them a little to trim the legs for both of them to look uniform with their coats and make them both comfortable and do it when you know they need trimmed to make it easier for them and you too.

I’m going to give Ernie a clean up next weekend. My body is bruised from Sunday’s wrestling match with Annie. Once I heal up, I’ll do Ernie. Their legs are difficult to do because they kick so hard and want to lay down when stressed. We will get there, but it’s going to take a few attempts.

Consider that I'm natural blonde, its fine and soft and nearly invisible; and that I only grow an odd little patch on my lower shin, it doesn't actually require shaving. My thighs have never needed a razor. I am naturally nearly hairless.

Just a suggestion or thought, if you bring them up every couple of weeks and go through the routine of grooming them. They will get much better at it. Just turn the clippers on and run it over them, razor side up if they don't need a trim. Also halter them more not just when they are going to be clipped. I can promise this will work over time and they will not be so Anxious and fight you. If she is pregnant you really want to be able to just walk up to her and touch her. You may need to pen them in a smaller area for a while. Just food for thought.

Great point! Living in Lubbock tornadoes are a possibility. When we got our above ground tornado shelter, my dog was skiddish getting in the shelter. I tried to slowly introduce my pup into getting inside the shelter. I did it everyday and now she's willing and ready to get in on command. Very proud of her.

I agree with Tina Ranew, you had the hardest one Jami & did amazing. I watched several shearing videos of alpacas after ypurs & they lay them down & tie their legs so they can cut. All the while reenforcing the animal that they are good & one lady doing it alone gave them a treat every once in a while still reenforcing their good behavior & she never got spit on once through the whole thing. I hope Jami reads this I'm only trying to help make things easier for both her & Annie. 🥺🙋‍♀️💜🙏

Annie is 100 times better haircut than Ernie. Ernie looks like his barber died half way through the cut. He's very uneven and shaggy. None of his back quarters trimmed. If you extend Journey's bandage, knee to her ankle, she'll get better support. I think she's doing so well just marvellous. I only say, so her tendons and joints develop properly. But honestly her leg is doing brilliant, if you didn't bandage it I guarantee that leg would've grown crippled and bad. Well done guys👏💐

Noticed Pebbles limping a bit on the one leg that was broken, would that be from the weight she is carrying with the babies not born as yet? Getting a little worried for some of the first time moms that haven't delivered as yet, hope nobody is having problems. Are you worried at all or just letting nature take it's course. Greylag goose very similar to a Pinkfoot, Greylags have orange legs,These geese migrate to England. We have a local (WWT) Wildlfowl and Wetland Trust Here where I live. A small village in Lancashire. When I was younger I use to volunteer as a grounds person. One of the weirdest jobs was stomping mounds of mud into nest spots for flamingoes as visitors watched. Bit like the chicken dance.
