Everyone who has done anything has made mistakes. I grew up believing I had to do everything perfect because everyone acted like they never made a mistake and didn't want to allow me any mistakes. Later I found out just how much a lot of those 'perfect' people screwed up. Now I try to do the best I know, and do some research before I do it. If I make a mistake, I learn from it. I haven't ever built a vehicle, but I do try to keep my old ones going. Keep having to learn new things to do that. We gotta keep learnin as long as we live.

Part of the attraction for me to your channel is its real and I really enjoy your metal fab skills. I dont think most guys are picking out your flaws but more so stating what they noticed. If I'm wrong then screw the haters. Im just an old geezer watchin videos of guys bustin their asses but I built, drove and crewed on roundy round cars for over 25 years. I get it. Continued success and just keep it real.

I want a Jeep rod like this but with a YJ Jeep wrangler, in-line 6, automatic transmission and 2wd. Yes an automatic, I would like a manual but I can no longer shift that much with my left leg.

Hell yeah 😎 👍.. this not just pretty dang good.. it's great and it's not done yet ! Said it before but it's just true Jeeps just make cool rigs like this. You're right about the rear tires. Much much better than the others. They have a good tread pattern for the build... it's a street rod but it's a Jeep. So the sizes and type fit the overall vehicle... just cool. Looking forward to seeing what's next.

Hey Anthony, That high gloss black over the stitch welds and all the dimples looks simply amazing ! As you were getting into the steering thing, I was thinking that a direction changing system would work great ! Then you show up with one and I was just blown away. I am hoping that this coming summer I will have a chance to drop by your place with my 27 T bucket roadster to show you some of the similarities between it and your Jeep Rod construction. Was nice to see that you can get some help from the lovely Julie and Mister Connor when you need it. H&B and Old Crow sure sound great when you fire them up. Work Safe, Be Well Stay Warm

I really enjoy your content. I’m not some keyboard warrior, but I noticed your tie rod and steering arms in front of the axle. This works for lots of builds. However, the steering arms should be heated and bent to place the helm joint as close to the brake rotor as possible to get steering Ackerman angle correct. (The inside wheel has a greater angle than the other to compensate for the different arc that each wheel travels in.) Or, if you can, flip the steering arms and tie rod to the rear. The Speedway Motors steering arms are really meant to be mounted aft of the axle center line for this reason. A quick way to check Ackerman angle is to place a string from the tie rod hole through the kingpin center line and center the string over the center of the rear differential. Lots of info on the web about this.

Yeah with this drop axle they can't go behind the axle the spring is in the way with this design. We are going to run it and see if or what we need to do after that

good call on the tires, it did make a HUGE difference. Maybe it's just the camera and lighting, but loads of those details you built in the interior get lost in all that black, which would be a shame, because there's so much talent and thought in that great looking tinwork you've done there. The jeep rod looks KILLER though! Without a doubt, the owner of this bad lad, is going to be a VERY happy guy! great work!

Hey, a factory Cummins Tech and I almost screwed up a $500,000 engine this week because we crushed a dowel pin applying a flexplate. Just totally forgot it was there. We weren't even filming anything. Shit happens sometimes. Don't let the bastards get you down. I live near a passenger and freight rail line, and I thought something was happening in my neighborhood when that horn was going off! I was thinking, "Man, they must be having an emergency! They never blow the horn coming through here!" Nope. Just really good earphones, apparently. 😁😁

Did you give any thought to mounting the steering box you have on the side of the frame rail? Flip the pit man arm around 180 degrees- it will then be going in the right direction. ON the headers, this change might move the first downturn out on all four tubes. Finding UFJ" (unidentified , flowing junk) in your motor is definitely not good. FR

That was a thought but hair pins occupy the space along side the frame so not an option!
