Hi Mike, I am retired and enjoy learning new things. Your videos and explanations are of great interest to me. I have not done any body work in my life but your efforts show that if you put your mind to it, use a lot of patience and problem solving anyone could do this if they want. I also like Karl of Make it Kustom, also Brent of Halfass Customs and some of Bad Chads work. I learn from each and enjoy the journey. Thank you for sharing your passion and yes I am digging this.

When I see classic hotrod roadsters, I think of the concept of installing a Corvair engine (with shrouds), instead of a regular one, with the transaxle in back. ;-)

What holds floor to rear quarter panel area? Didn't see anything?
@ThisOldHotrod2 жыл бұрын
I didn’t get that far in this episode. That’s Saturdays episode. The frame of the floor is connected to the lower rear panel supports and also the lower part of the side window channels. That was in last Saturdays video. Sheet metal in the rear of the car is coming up next

Is the body permanently connected to the chassi
@ThisOldHotrod2 жыл бұрын

@@christopherjohnson4733 I welded the whole sub rail structure (what I could reach) while the body is on. The new floor structure is bolted to the frame and the body was slid down over the new frame work and welded to it. 4 mounts to connect the body. 2 on the trans crossmember and 2 on the rear crossmember.
