“Leo plays to not get reversaled” is such a great distillation of his stage control and preference to ledge trapping which counters aggressive play styles very well ❤

59:00 one thing that I think is really underutilized vs ROB gyro, diddy banana, and link bomb on the floor are DA/ftilt attack cancel tosses. this gives the forgiving range of picking up items with a tilt or dash attack with a lot more safety than either of those options. you are free to throw the item in any direction and back tosses will also shift your aerial momentum to being backward which is impossible for them to whiff punish on reaction. I think this is also the fastest way to discard the item from the stage.

VOD review helped me adapt a lot. As a MegaMan main, I have to adapt quickly when players are getting into my threat zone too quickly or surprisingly to me.

if you dont mind, what do you look for when you vod review? did you begin looking for the same things ingame?
@_witherrs_6 ай бұрын
@@thenewninja4726I’ll answer that for you. When vod reviewing you mostly want to look for habits u can be aware of . Like how you pressure your opponent, or what you do when trying to get back on stage. More or less you would want to take everything into account when reviewing as you can always improve on literally every single aspect of the game (ex. ledge trapping, shield pressure, combos, Recovery, Juggling, spacing, Neutral).

Thank you Tony, your mic sounds so much better than last episode 👌

This is such a big help as a marth main for me its allways difficult trying to space and whatnot without knowing how to adapt to my opponents so i'd often find myself losing a lot due to it and getting punished without knowing how to maybe prevent it

Great episode and topic! I’m always a sucker for specific, situational details; Steve uptilt being weak horizontally, but it supported by blocks. Can’t ledge trap a character with Fox? Laser from a safe distance gets a tiny bit of value and let’s you safely play the next situation. Now exploring the cast more, I never know what new, niche but useful thing I might hear from these guys.

i wish the video could be separated into parts, where each discussion was timestamped. but i realize I don't necessarily know what manpower im asking for.

Video looks great, just wanted to mention that there’s a typo in the thumbnail. “Adapating”

Thanks for the notice, our editor was in a bit of a rush when making the thumbnail.
