The Truth of L for Lee Leaving Stampy's Lovely World

Sqaishey made a statement on my video from last year to talk about their side of the situation with L for Lee being removed from Stampy's Lovely World. I feel like some people would like to hear this because there hasn't been mention of what really happened in 2015 and there is lots of confusion as to why Lee Bear stopped being in Stampy's videos.

I was 9/10 when this went down, obviously didn't think much of it but found myself in a stampy rabbithole and eventually came back here. They done so, immensely well to protect so many young vulnerable minds at the time, and absolutely done the right thing in waiting until the initial audience had matured before coming out and talking about it

That "You were all so young during this time" just shows how good they are. They knew their audience was primarily children, and even though Lee did something horrible, they knew addressing it directly wouldn't be the right thing. Instead, they protected us, and our childhood innocence by having Lee leave on good terms in the show. Now, we're grown up, able to handle the truth, and they gave it to us. I was 10 at the time the episode released, and I remember being so sad Lee was leaving. I didn't know about the drama luckily, and I'm glad Stampy let his version of Lee leave on good terms, and even happier to finally know the truth.

the fact sqaishey outright said they wanted to protect us, and that we were so young literally just broke my heart. that’s so much responsibility, feeling like you need to keep an audience of millions of children safe. and they did it, successfully. i can’t even imagine how stressful it was for them, finding out their friend was a monster and having to shield the eyes of millions of children from what he did. they handled it so so well. thank you sqaishey and especially stamps. 💛

Having said that it did descend into Chinese whispers with rumours that he was a child sexual abuser when in reality his victims were older and his sexual offences were minor and he committed burglary.

@@AngelDelight69 I don't think Lee really "got away" with anything - he was permanently removed from Lovely World and wasn't successful on his own, so he completely threw away his chance at fame and popularity, and people have been speculating negatively on what he may or may not have done for years. I think choosing to explain to their audience when said audience is more mature and more able to handle the news that someone they once looked up to did the things Lee did makes a lot of sense and is just another example as to why Stampy is and always will be one of the best creators ever to grace KZbin. Agreed-Lee's actions were terrible, but considering how young the audience of the series was them making it into his character leaving for an adventure and keeping quiet outside that was the right thing to do. It wasn't just something they could risk exposing so many kids to without breaking their hearts or scaring them. Poor Stampy and Squishy though, having to come to terms about what their former friend did while trying to keep things lighthearted for the kids watching.

I hope more people see this. I remember Lee uploading that video years back explaining that he was innocent and so on, I believed it, and to this day so many people believe that still. It’s heartbreaking, but he just doesn’t deserve the praise that so many people still give him, what he did to those poor women and then lied about it to everyone… He clearly doesn’t care and doesn’t deserve to be remembered as a good person.

Its more so because he was young that he's had time to reflect and redeem himself growing up, i resonate with that so much cause i used to make bad choices when i was younger that i deeply regret, apologized for, and have worked everyday to redeem myself for. People make mistakes and are able to change for the better, but its another thing to lie and avoid accountability which is what lee's doing.. the fact that lee lied to everyone for all these years is what makes it seem like he's not truly sorry, he never shows evidence and all he says is "i didnt do it, its all lies", he recently did it again in a response he made under squaishey's exact comment clarifying the whole thing, i expect a video from him sooner or later but im still siding with squaishey and stampy cause why on earth would they even lie about such heinous crimes, what would they gain doing so.. However i get that with the sheer weight of his crime, its hard to not feel resentment towards the guy, however i still hope he's become a better person

I didn’t really pay too much attention when Lee left, I heard he was arrested but didn’t really understand what happened, but when the whole lion maker thing happened, I saw the video he made confessing it all and he really managed to convince me that he was a victim, which is terrifying.

Even though I know why they never would have discussed it, I am glad Sqaishey and in a way too, Stampy, have finally spoken about Lee. That video Lee made years back really left a lot of people confused, myself included. I always had wanted to hear what Stampy had to say on the matter but given of course, the kind of channel and audience he has, it's not really something you can just say like that. But with how many of his viewers then have now grown up and likely would in turn, watch the kind of video you uploaded, on which Sqaishey commented that, it does feel right in a way to now finally be able to put that chapter to bed and I can only imagine how they both felt over the years and how many times before they may have wanted to say something, but never were able to. It was as much a closure for us, as it was probably a huge weight lifted for them.

When I heard the news all the years ago it was heartbreaking but I believed it. It made me so angry that so many people defended him and refuse to acknowledge any wrong doing, so many people believed his video and his defense videos, that I started to doubt myself. That goodbye bear episode must hwve been so hard for them to make! Not because they had to say goodbye to the character but because of what they had been put through and how delicately they had to handle the situation. I remember that episode coming out. I remember excitedly clicking on that episode and being sad when "Lee" left. It was the first time i had ever bothered reading the description to a video, too! Which later on proved important when finding the lies. I was unsure about his innocence (or lack thereof) because of one rumor claiming that stampy put the real reason as to why Lee left, in the description only to change it seconds later. Even if i hadn't read the description, logic told me that stampy wouldn't have left such a harmful truth in his video where kids (much like myself at the time) could stumble across it. Having them speak out about it now makes things so much clearer and surprisingly lifts a weight off my shoulders that i didn't even know i had.

i personally started watching stampy around when i was something like 4-6 yrs old but stopped watching maybe a little before the "bye bear" episode when i was about 8 then came back a bit later when i was about 11 and thought that the episodes that i was watching was just a coincidence that lee wasnt in them but then i started doing a little research and realised that the character left but ive only just now (im 13) started to go further into the rabbit hole because i just watched his recent vid and remembered about lee and i saw your old vid about 20 mins ago and looked at an article and was just shocked i then watched this vid and it sorta just put more things on my mind about just life while informing me more of what happend and shock about what happened to probably my favourite helper because he was the only one i ever new except for veeva dash. i respect stampy for the way he put it out that lee would not be coming back. but i respect squashy probably more because she had the courage after seeing your other video to speak up about her side of the story and tell everyone what happened. i wish them both luck and hope they have the best and thank them for the way they gave everyone the information when we were all young.

This is honestly great to clear the Air. Really the only things we had to go off of were the news outlets and Lee’s video. The video Lee made had everyone most convinced, and while I wanted to believe he was in the right, I was still on the fence considering all we had to go off of was his word. It felt like he just said “It’s lies” and just acted like he was in the right. (Ironic considering he was the liar in the end) Now that Sqaishy has finally cleared the air after so long, I see it as closure to a situation that alluded us for so long.

I remember when i was a kid and the drama began around Lee, almost like the first time it came to me that my favorite creators could be awful people. Then began the whole he was innocent and that he was the one that told stampy that he should go to protect his channel and reputation. I won't lie, I'm shocked to realize the cruel truth about why Lee Bear left. I'm glad to hear some updates on this. Because neutrality is a very important value to me, I was pretty unsure about what to believe and as such chose not to really believe anything. This just showd up in my reccomendations after I watched Stampy's final episode.. I'm sincerely grateful that the two took it upon themselves to actually outright protect their young audience and wait till we all grew up abit more, matured,ect.. I spent a good while actually believing Lee was innocent till I actually chose to move to being neutral after growing up abit myself. The fact that Lee lied and tried to profit is genuinely disgusting and I'm glad Stampy and Squashiy both took the time to think and do what they did!!

I dunno the whole thing doesn't make much sense to me.... 1. Irvine is quite small so Its odd i never really heard much about it since i did live there. 2. The only source i can find is a newspaper article which legally shouldn't have been able to print his name with Lee being 16 at the time and 14 during allegations. 3. If it did turn out to be true then he should've been restricted from internet access. However he continued to upload consistently for the next 3 or so years....

There has never been any real or factual evidence that Lee ever committed those heinous acts just people who said some things and 2 very unreliable copy and paste articles and moreover at the time of the accusations Lee was a minor and all of his personal information was posted onto the articles which yet again deems those articles unreliable as any we'll known news article would have known that you can't post a minors personal information for the public to see and I'm not saying that stampy framed him I'm saying with all the accusations that Lee was facing it would have been very hard to stand and say that he himself was innocent so it could've been very likely that he was pushed into confessing for actions he never committed

I remember commenting on one of Lee’s own videos when it all happened with a comment calling him a pedo. He replied with a furious comment saying he did nothing wrong. I always believed that he was guilty but wondered on occasion if I did even more damage to an innocent kid’s mental health when everyone was against him.
