I think that part of the cause of that is the myth "he made billions in business,,,he must know what he's doing." I will agree that many of the corporations in this country are run by very bright dedicated people. The myth is that all of them are bright and dedicated. Some are just smarmy grafters that moved too fast to be blamed for their incompetence.

@badmojo4207 жыл бұрын
This is Keith Olbermann, did you really expect a large amount of Trump supporters? That's like going to a Alex Jones video and observing all the pro-Trump comments. A lot of people can't stand to watch the other sides propaganda. I support Trump, and I watch every Olbermann video and I usually make multiple comments. But I rarely find anyone willing to debate the topics or counter my critiques. I think a large part of the problem is that the default setting is 'Top Comments' so if people don't change that they will literally never see my comments. The up-vote system almost makes posting pro Trump comments on Olbermann videos pointless.

@lotusladylotus61597 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for your continued posts, Keith. Relatedly, although I’ve made this point on one other thread, I think it’s worth repeating here: Many people are debating whether Trump is ‘mentally ill,’ or if his conduct is somehow ‘strategic,’ as if those were mutually exclusive possibilities. It is crucial to understand that Trump's delusional assertions, pathological lying and unbalanced and reckless behavior are entirely consistent within the framework of Malignant Narcissistic Personality Disorder; thus, whilst it appears to be (and is) ‘irrational,’ his behavior is also 'strategic' in that it conforms precisely with the self-protecting and self-promoting tactics consistently and predictably employed by malignant narcissists - and he’s gone through the entire checklist - to: (1) 'scramble the minds' of and warp the perceptions of their victims and thereby acquire and maintain a kind of con-man's control, while (2) deliberately undermining, abusing and bullying his critics, detractors and anyone else who might question or challenge his self-serving, kleptocratic, reality-divorced and self-aggrandizing world view and perception of himself (as special, all-knowing, entitled and god-like strong man). Any threat to or breach of a MN's alternative reality constitutes an unacceptable and rage-inducing 'narcissistic injury' -- we've seen this most often in his impulsively hostile tweets and attacks -- and what's particularly worrisome is that such a 'narcissistic injury' can and often does provoke a MN to ‘irrational’ (but justifiable and aptly vengeful in their mind) destructive acts, and even violence. It’s important to understand that: (1) 'narcissism' is not the same as clinical 'narcissistic personality disorder;' (2) that like other conditions the disorder occurs across a spectrum of severity; (3) that malignant narcissistic personality disorder (MNPD) is at the far and more pathological end of that spectrum; (4) that MNPD not a mental illness in the sense that most lay people understand and have being using that term -- rather, it is one of the most malignant, dangerous and destructive of the personality disorders, second only to that with which it is often co-morbid, namely sociopathy (now known as anti-social personality disorder). What you must understand and accept is that MN's have no desire to change, they cannot be rationalized with, they cannot be 'managed', they cannot be clinically treated, and they only get worse with age (because they progressively become more practiced and proficient manipulators while becoming more rigid in and protective of their increasingly twisted sense of self and others). In short, it is incredibly dangerous to have someone with MNPD in such a position of privilege and power, as has been repeatedly proven by past and more current geopolitical history. If only one or two people have a better appreciation of what and who they are dealing with in this regard, and the legitimate but often insidious dangers the situation poses, that would be a worthwhile start (and maybe they will enlighten another person, and they another, and so on.) I don’t usually comment online, but I felt compelled do so in this instance not only because (accurate) information is power, but also because -- to use a medical analogy -- merely writing off anyone with MNPD (including Trump) as either a ‘nut job’ or ‘an ignorant douche bag’ as I see that many have, would be akin to a doctor dismissively treating a patient who has a brain tumor without understanding their underlying pathology, and just saying ‘take an aspirin and call me in the morning;’ it would be both irresponsible and dangerous. Finally, the only effective way of resisting a MNPD is: (1) to recognize what they are, and how and why they operate the way they do, and respond accordingly; (2) to deny them all sources of ‘narcissistic supply’; (3) when possible and your personal safety is not in jeopardy, to ‘unmask’ or expose them for what they are, by which means they not only lose their power and influence over you but others as well, ultimately making it necessary for them ‘go to ground’ (think of it this way, once the conman is identified and exposed, they have to pack up and move to another town when they are as of yet unknown in order to operate). With that in mind, one must understand MN’s never really ‘give up’ or go away, because they are obsessed with ‘winning,’ and when thwarted their subsequent acts of revenge and retribution can also constitute ‘wins’ in their own minds, even when self-destructive. The best you can hope for is that in using the techniques described above you can to some degree neutralize them and their influence, and thus the extent to which they can do more harm. With all of that said, then, when it comes to a malignant narcissistic in the highest office, the most effective means of neutralization is his removal.
