Zach was formally diagnosed with OCD when he was a kid. He's worked really hard to the point where he barely has any symptoms of it now. I think the problem with the cat being the person's best friend is that we don't have enough words/titles to label how we feel love. As an introvert, I don't think it is unusual to enjoy spending a lot of time hanging out with your pet over human interaction- and that combined with how you might feel like your pet is your 'fur child' and you spend quality time with them: how do you label that? I am super close with my mom- I talk to her constantly. We purposefully spend time together. It isn't a best friend relationship, because she's my mom, but it is obviously a very different from these guys relationships with their parents. And I know there are tons of cultures where families and parents spend SO much time together. We only have one term to describe those types of relationships so we try to also fit them into our limited vocabulary and so we use best friend. I think it is frustrating.

I think it's the way they use their whole body to play. Cellists *embrace* their instrument. It's analogous to passionate lovemaking.

I know the only cellist you wont crush on: the one (and only) cellist in my grade's orchestra. he doesn't even show up to concerts and he's on his phone on the practice room. Its kinda sad since we need that cellist.

Thank you so much for talking about talking to your parents! My bf is older and for some reason his friends think it's weird that I talk to my mom more than once a month and that I like being around my family. I'm so glad that it's not just me that talks to my mom a lot, that Maggie, Becky & Ariel all talk to their moms a lot. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!
