I think the problem with the cat being the person's best friend is that we don't have enough words/titles to label how we feel love. As an introvert, I don't think it is unusual to enjoy spending a lot of time hanging out with your pet over human interaction- and that combined with how you might feel like your pet is your 'fur child' and you spend quality time with them: how do you label that? I am super close with my mom- I talk to her constantly. We purposefully spend time together. It isn't a best friend relationship, because she's my mom, but it is obviously a very different from these guys relationships with their parents. And I know there are tons of cultures where families and parents spend SO much time together. We only have one term to describe those types of relationships so we try to also fit them into our limited vocabulary and so we use best friend. I think it is frustrating.

I wish they would choose outfits for each other for a week. I think that would be such a fun video. Whoever got Eugene would be so stylish! Actually Eugene should just choose all the looks for all the guys for a week!
