I almost cried when Zach said Eugene looked strong, that was such a sweet moment. It's nice to see both of them where they are now given how hard it's been in the past
@Alex-rain94 жыл бұрын
I actually cried and I agree... That was sweet and it is amazing to see such differences in those two photos being acknowledge by Zach. Being able to express yourself and who you trully are with close friends is such an empowering moment, especially when they recognised themself the fact that you have grown stronger because of your experiences and congratulate you for being who you desire to be and the difficulties you had to encounter. (sorry for the quality of my english and the long comment ! xD Have a great day btw

I know this sounds cliché, but it has a lot to do with the people around you and how comfortable you are with them. From I was 3-18 I only had one person I saw as a real friend. He's still my best friend today, but during my boarding school year (in Denmark we have a special type of boarding schools which like 1/3rd of the population go to one for 1-3 years) That year I learned that there are other people as weird as me and they accepted me for who I was, so when I went to high school I was so extremely lucky as to randomly ending up being paired with this one classmate who befriended me and introduced me to her amazing group of friends! I'm still really bad around people in general but this one group of friends I'm extremely comfortable around and I feel so relaxed it barely drains me to be with them even though I'm very introverted Anyway, what I mean to say with this little story is, I've been where you are and I have hope that one day you will find "your people" - hang in there😊

@Luckcat164 жыл бұрын
@@skylerp5740What you are going through is extremely difficult and there are no if ands or buts about it. My stuggle was different, but I was so sad. I was so sad and withdrawn somedays that it didn't even seem like I really existed. I was going through the motions and putting on a great show, but I wasn't present. I started on anti-depressants because I suffered long term emotional abuse and had a family history of clinical depression. They didn't cure me. I still felt awkward and out of place, but the long stretches of feeling nothing started to fade. Between remaining medicated and growing up I started to gain more confidence in myself. Eventually I decided that my mission in life was to make peoples lives better using the advantages I did have in life. I went to college and graduated. Then I went to law school and graduated. Then I failed the bar exam. I cried for 20 minutes, took a nap, then ate some pizza. That same afternoon I signed up for the exam again. I could only get through that so easily because I knew what real stuggle was. Real struggle is what you're doing right now. Now I'm waiting on the results again. I'm nervous, but I know I will be okay. Just like I know you will be okay. You're tougher than you know, but it's okay not to feel like it sometimes. I'm be sending you lots of love. ❤

LRCLaw this is so encouraging. i know it wasn’t for me, but thank you. everyday, i feel so lifeless. i feel the need to harm myself to put myself back in line. i don’t deserve friendships, i don’t deserve good connections with others. i’m selfish, ugly, fat, and just an awful person. i know i am. it’s so hard not to just yell at people or to die, but i’m trying. i’m trying for myself. i started writing a diary to let it out because i can’t go to anyone. if my parents find it, i’ll most likely be gone within 24 hours of them confronting me about it. i don’t have a good connection with them. i’m pretty sure my mom would rather want me dead and my dad is one of the reasons for my anxiety.

@@mwahmaii It was absolutely for you. It was for whoever needed to hear it and whoever it would resonate with. This is incredibly difficult particularly when you don't have someone who supports you. I think the journal is a wonderful idea and shows how much effort you are putting into helping yourself. If you have access to counseling or therapy it might be something to look into. I'm in therapy and I wish I had done it sooner. It has been immensely helpful. If you're not ready for that or don't have access to it, you can also find lots of suicide and self-harm hotlines where you can talk to people who can help you. It's okay to need help, we all do sometimes. That was really hard for me to accept, but once I did, I felt so much freer. It took many years for me to start figuring out that not everything in my life was my burden to bear. I was carrying a lot of things that did not belong to me. My mom's disability, my dad's abuse, they weren't ever mine. It wasn't my fault and I wasn't responsible to fix it. I'm still working on truly embodying that, but I'm making progress. The more I work on myself the better I feel because I am taking steps forward. Even when they are small steps, I am still moving forward. I'm sending you lots of love and good vibes on your journey forward.

Exactly. As an adult, I can tell you this is 1,000% true! I had such a ROUGH time in middle school - no joke. I feel a lot of love and sympathy for that girl I was. I wouldn't have traded that experience in though if I could have, to be popular, and pretty, and all the rest of it - because going through that phase made me who I am. I love who I am today. I'm happy, I'm free. There's so much love in my life. I can express myself all of the time. I help animals find homes. I can go anywhere - do anything, and I'm my own boss! The kid I was back then made me who I am now. Never forget to look at the "bigger perspective". Your youth is just a few years of your life. Your adulthood is aaaalllll the rest. Better to have life suck as a kid if you're a happier adult. One day, you'll look back on where you were, and wish you could go back in time, give yourself a big hug, and tell you that it's all going to work out, and just to hang in there.

It was really nice of Zach opening up more on his OCD. As someone who struggles daily with it since I was a little kid, it's great to hear from someone I look up to also has faced something similar. Need to get actual OCD out there more as it's usually seen as a funny joke when someone is very organized. Thank you Zach. (:
