He's so self-pitiful, he takes himself too seriously and is very competitive. When you spend too much time trying to be *the* best instead of trying to do your best, you fall short and get disappointed to the high expectations you set for yourself.

Most artists are self critical, but it can help us improve because we are aware of what is missing usually. Eugene has that typical artist personality, (this is coming from an artist) so i was not surprised. Most of us are perfectionists. I wouldn't call all of us competitive, but we like to challenge ourselves by seeing how well we can do and improve, especially if we're very passionate about what we do. This goes for anything we (stereotypical artists lol) do in our life, not just art.

Like instead of so many eat the menu and candid competition and DIY in a row it would be cool if we ended up with a DIY, candid competition, then a video of them together, then an eat the menu, then maybe another DIY, and a video of them together, and then maybe another candid competition.... etc.

speaking as someone who’s taken figure drawing classes since high school: seeing a nude model wears off its shock value pretty fast. it would certainly be a different story if the models were actually your co-workers, but in your typical classroom setting, it’s decidedly unsexy 😅

Well kinda true but unfortunately/fortunately gifted people can learn skills much faster and easier than the average people, and also, there's a limit where hardwork could take you.

@@fartyfat6539 In all honestly, I find it the opposite. Talent can only take you so far. The person born with artistic talent who only draws once a month won't ever beat the person born with none who works every day. Talented people may get a boost, but it doesn't mean they win the race yknow?
