The Tube vs Elizabeth Line!! Which Will Win? Stratford to Farringdon

Like I said in my last video, the next one is where I will turn it up a notch, and here we are!! From the time the full route of the Elizabeth Line opened last year winter, I really wanted to compare how quick it would be to get from East London (in this case Stratford) to the City (Farringdon in this example), and now this video is finally here!! Also, not long ago, while playing around with the overlay settings on my video editor, I had noticed there was a 'split screen' option, which really excited me!!
This was because I could finally do a side-by-side comparison of the two journeys and surprisingly the results turned out much better than I had anticipated! So enjoy this to the fullest. I am considering to do more of these split-screen type videos on other services other than Crossrail, so do hit subscribe and smash that like button if you want more of these types!! This also adds a new niche of 'Action-Type' content onto the channel as well!

I did go past Whitechapel! Had to do Stratford as it is a much bigger interchange, alongside the opening of the full route made it a fairly new connection towards the city! Hope you enjoyed, nevertheless✨️

You could have changed very easily from the Central to the Hammersmith & City at Mile End.

Hi, Michael! Yes, indeed you are correct, and that was the original plan. However, the Hammersmith & City line stops and gets on hold at the Junction in Aldgate, for as long as 4-5mins, since it allows the District line services heading for Tower Hill to pass over. Consquently, that would have increased the journey length on the tube. Hence, I thought riding the Central Line straight to Liverpool Street would be fine as it is only a few mins journey on the second train from then onwards. Hope you enjoyed the action, nevertheless!

It’s the same price as tube lines in London (except Heathrow because Heathrow Airport Holdings own the tunnel and charge a lot). Out west it’s under the National Rail fare system which are more expensive than the TFL fares I think
