I watched the mobile chicane's video on Argentine drivers post Reuteman and felt sorry for Tuero. He had the potential to at least get to the midfield with the skill he displayed, particularly over one lap. It's good to see more people talking about him. And Brundle has a right cheek to be talking smack given his reverence towards George Russell with a specific interest in his Norfolk upbringing

Tuero is definitely very underrated

Hello, Esteban was the boyfriend of a friend's sister for a while. From what I was able to find out, he missed Argentina a lot and was also a very shy and reserved person, the complete opposite of what Franco Colapinto is.

That explains a lot…

Remembering the crash in Suzuka. His manager Eduardo Ramirez said that Tuero crash on purpose because team orders. They needed to maintain the 10th place in the constructor championship. However, another version said that he was too young and misses his family in Argentina. He was a great driver with potential but probably in F1 he would be in lower teams.

That’s controversial if true

It’s a shame that Argentine drivers faded out, we had some really good talents, Juan Manuel Fangio, Jose Froilan Gonzalez, Carlos Reutemann. I hope we can get another one someday

Franco Colapinto is on his way up but unless he starts winning regularly in f2 he’s unlikely to get to F1

Well, he is in F1 now

A cool "what if" in F1 is the 99 Minardi line up of Tuero and Sarrazin instead of Badoer and Gene. maybe more top tens then they actually get?

Maybe?

I remember Sarrazin in FE and the one race in Brazil

@@nedzosf1gridbox Minardi actually did want Sarrazin for the rest of the season off Brazil performance, but Prost put a stop to it convincing Sarrazin if he stayed, he'd get a prost seat for 2000 which never happened.

He couldn't have been that bad a driver as i can remember watching him during 1998 & I'd forgotten about Nakano
@nedzosf1gridbox10 ай бұрын
Interesting. What are your thoughts on Nakano?
@Athrun829 ай бұрын
Nakano wasn't that bad. He scored two points with Prost in 1997 (whenever Prost actually cared to give him a helping hand) and in 1998 he almost scored with the Minardi in Canada. He also made Murray stutter at the same race when Murray went through the field "And here we have Magnussen in 4th, Panis in 5th, Nakano in the Minardi in 6th, behind Nak, Na...blrhgzt Nakano is Wurz."
@lfnorthy9 ай бұрын
I'd even forgotten nakano was in prost. He was an ok driver from was I remember or have since read, but he didn't have the memorable career the some other Japanese drivers have had (for good or bad reasons).
@lfnorthy9 ай бұрын
As an example, I can remember Taki Inoue not because of any of his drives, but because he got ran over by a medical car in 1995. That kind of thing or a one off decent drive like Aguri Suzuki finishing 3rd for Larrouse at Suzuka 1990 tend to stand out in memory. Nakano didn't have either kind of incident so I don't really remember if he was good or not
@Athrun829 ай бұрын
@@lfnorthyNakano was the "gift" from Mugen Honda who were the engine supplier for Prost in 1997. Prost himself wasn't exactly thrilled and tried to replace him with another French driver (I think that was Sarrazin) but Honda put their foot down on that.

Question: who do you think was the worst Sauber and Alfa Romeo driver since 2013? I did saw some people saying Gutierrez and Sutil are the two worst when it comes in peoples mind.
@nedzosf1gridbox10 ай бұрын
Gutierrez was mediocre and I think Sutil just had a bad season in 2014. Either Esteban or Marcus Ericsson

I do think Fernando Alonso 2010 season was overrated Sebastian Vettel should of wrap the title earlier if his car did not broke down in the first two races and Mark Webber who would of won the title if it wasn't for Korea crash as well as the Valencia crash with Heikki Kovalainen. So yeah Alonso 2010 season for me is very overrated.
