Do you modify the timing/front cover at all? For racing engines that need serviced more frequently I like to make them quickly accessible to double check timing, make sure it didn't skip timing and check condition. Usually, and if possible, I like to be able to pull the cover off without removing the mount, valve cover or the accessory belts.

Oh shit 😅 my b. That one drops tomorrow. It is modified. At least the top cover is for inspection. The bottom as you know is a pain because everything in front of it has to come off.

I just discovered your channel and I'm excited to watch all ur videos. What series and class do you race the d-series turbo in? My goal is to participate in a few circuit races this year but due to class restrictions a d-series turbo might not be my best choice if I want to be competitive but it's definitely more budget friendly for me!

Welcome man! We run the blue civic in the champcar endurance series class B. The power is very competitive if not overly, but the chassis is not. The heavy front end just doesn’t corner the greatest.

That is an advantage though. And in racing like this something like that is huge. So they make it cost points we don’t have to spare
