@jeff R Only if you plan on waiting till that tax stamp comes in. These are considered an SBS. Under barrel shotguns require an SBS tax stamp. As soon as you attach it under a barrel it is classified as a short barrel shotgun with an illegal stock. You cannot legally take ownership of these until you get approved and get your tax stamp. The same rules apply to those flare launchers, because as soon as you also posses certain types of ammo it makes your flare launcher a destructive device, All the less than lethal shotgun shells, like beanbags, rubber rounds, wood rounds, also make your flare launcher illegal. Then there is ammo that is classified as anti personnel, which can be anything from gas rounds to shrapnel, and those rounds actually require a tax stamp for each round. So basically those under barrel devices are also classified the same way guns are. The under barrel shotguns are SBS, and flare launchers are classified as destructive devices if you own certain barrels or certain ammo. Sure you can get you a flare gun with no problems, but if you also buy a certain attachment for it, it becomes illegal to posses without a tax stamp, and all the ammo people really want for them also requires a tax stamp for each round. I seen people started making reusable anti personnel rounds, but the last I heard was that you even needed a tax stamp to reload the reusable rounds. To avoid the hassle if I were to get a flare launcher I would just go ahead and apply to get the tax stamp, because you can very easily break the law by accident with them. Basically anything cool you want to do with them is illegal. Almost all the ammo made for flare launchers requires a tax stamp anyway.

If one was added to a braced pistol AND met all the requirements for that configuration it *could* work. Filing SBS paperwork is the *safe* route. Or, F the gov't and do whatever you want. 😊

With M-LOK, the strength is derived from tension on the screws, the nuts which fit into slots on the rail, and the friction of the item against the rail. It's pretty strong, but keymod on the other hand...

Remington or Mossberg could make something like this out of one of their braced firearm guns like the Shockwave or Tac-13, which could then be mounted under the barrel of a braced AR pistol. All legal without NFA paperwork/registration

The shockwave/tac13 are only legal because the grip is long enough to push the total length to 26in. Something like this would have to be a registered aow or sbs

I have shot 12ga like a pistol with pistol grips (in fact the wood grips I made for it busted in half during the start of a shooting competition, so I still scored 24 out of 25 clays with half a pistol grip). Sure it has some recoil, but its totally manageable, and that was when I was below 100 pound twig (I'm still a walking twig, but I think I'm just past 100 pounds now at the same 5'11" height).
