This is live, all Ed Sullivan performances were live.Howard has such a fantastic voice. Both are great singers tho. Don't know a song with a better intro.Definetly one of my favorite groups of all time. Loved the song back then, still do

Now you have to check out "She's My Girl" & "You Showed Me" The guy in the yellow sweater still tours as the Turtles. He's Mark Volman. Mark & the singer, Howard Kaylan also recorded as Flo & Eddie and also backed up other artists as Frank Zappa and T-Rex.

I am 68 years old so got to see these songs performed on television every week. We were so lucky back then because their were variety shows on several nights every week and you could just listen to all these different singers with their hit songs. So great back then. And you two are so cute!

Cool band and guys in deed! I feel lucky, being in elementary school in the 60’s and having 3 older siblings. Whatever they had on the radio or record player is what I heard and listened to. Didn’t have to discover the great music, just had to follow my brothers and sister! 😉😁

They actually wanted to get into the lesser "pop" sounding music...Eve of Destruction for example.... But their record company only wanted "Happy Together" kinda songs. Try "it ain't me babe" OR "Eve of Destruction".
