On the twelfth week of 2016 I edited the @ireland Twitter account which has a large domestic and diaspora Irish audience. I wanted to be a window into the twelfth of July. My goal was to fill the Orange gap in the Irish psyche, the flag is after all Green, White and Orange.

4:00 to be fair QUB was a bad place to make a point. The fact it is desolate is nothing to do with the twelfth but because it is not term time and the uni is closed. You hit QUB on Christmas day and you will have the same situation!

used to love the twelfth in Belfast when I was a boy I'm 38 now and I hate it especially the atmosphere on the homeward part of the parade
