FILM DESCRIPTION:
At last, Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) are getting married. When Jacob (Taylor Lautner) finds out that Bella wants to spend her honeymoon as a human, he is horrified -- for Edward's passion could accidentally kill her. Bella does indeed survive her honeymoon, but a new complication arises when she discovers that she's pregnant -- and the child is growing at an alarming rate. The pregnancy sets the wolves against Bella and Edward, but Jacob vows to protect his friend.

The books clarify that if the person a wolf imprinted on is killed by a werewolf, even by accident - every single wolf involved in that in any way instantly starts feeling excruciating pain. And that pain will never, ever go away until they find a way to die. So usually the wolves involved in the death, intentionally or not, will fight to the death because dying is far better than feeling that pain. So if Renesme was killed here - every single werewolf in La Push would die. They would all either fight to the death or just commit suicide.

The wolfs in Jacob's pack would all feel the pain.... The ones in Sam's pack I do not think they would feel is as the book says the packs can only talk in wolf form when shouting at each other so they wouldn't hear the talking to each other...I was hoping they would hold true to the book as I wanted to see the chaos of Jacob taking the true alpha role, then later on the Clearwater's switch packs...If I remember right in the book was counting on Jacob being so mad at Bella's death that he would then launch a surprise attack on Renessme.

He read Jacob’s mind as he transformed allowing the rest of the pack to hear his thoughts to know he had imprinted. He can read everyone’s mind except Bella’s. Yet, he can somehow get surprised in a fight by what they decide to do.

This scene doesn't portray well the Cullen's fighting abilities as described in the books. In the book it says that the fight would be probably balanced (but does not really happen in the book), because Edward and Jasper in particular are described as very capable fighters and are therefore feared by the wolves and Sam believes that only Jacob and he can reach out to Jasper and Edward.

The creator of the characters species literally describes the wolves as being the equal or stronger than vampires due to weight. Jacob is the biggest wolf and physically strongest. If they wanted the vampires dead they would’ve all killed them. Doesn’t change the fact Sam almost took Edwards head off and he was saved

@@maryoconnor9360 Imprinting pretty much takes away werewolf's free will. It's not just about being a mate. That werewolf, he or she, will pretty much become A SLAVE to her mate. Werewolf imprinted on someone will do absolutely anything for that person, be whoever that person need him/her to be - protector, friend or a lover. And imprinted werewolf doesn't feel it as if his/hers freedom was stripped away. It just all feels very natural. Jacob after that scene is revealed to be unable to say no to Renesme in any matter. It's just impossible. And he will do anything, kill anyone, commit any crime and break any law - if that's what it takes to keep Renesme happy.

Jacob explains imprinting to Bella in the second movie. One of werewolves in his pack imprinted in a baby. Jacob explained to Bella what that means. And Sam imprinted on Emily, which is why his love for Leah instantly vanished. Which is precisely why Leah is now the way she is.
