So wonderful of you, Rick, to honor the mainstay actors of the early television era in such a loving way. We may not have known them personally - but we certainly appreciated their ability to act and propel a story. Wishing peace to all those departed from us!!💕

He was best-known to me for his role opposite Angie Dickinson (who's 93 years old now) in POLICE WOMAN. He does so much of this show by himself, but you can see about a dozen other actors in the closing credits, most prominently James Gregory, who showed up in about the last 5 minutes of the show.

Earl Holliman was a classic! He was an every man actor, everyone could identify with him! As the bourbon drinking cook on “Forbidden Planet” to Nestor, the rescue swimmer in “The Bridges at Tokyo-Ri”, he was believable in everything he did. I remember him most costarring with Angie Dickinson on the TV series Police Woman in the mid 70s and then noticed more things he did before and after like this episode. About the only thing he was in I saw as a really unlikeable heavy was the 1970 movie "Tribes" with Jan Michael Vincent and Darren McGavin as a commanding officer on a military base. Lately I had been looking up his status as an actor that was living well into his 90s. RIP.

Hey, Rick! You are quite right that Earl Holliman was a great actor, able to be the sole character for 90% of the episode! Everytime I watch this premiere offering, I get quite invested in the character; we share his struggles, look for clues for him and hope he figures things out. I would actually sad with the reveal; I wished he would have solved it on his own rather than be in an isolation chamber, facing dredd. The producers of the show had to have great confidence in Earl Holliman to launch the entire series! In order to succeed, a new show with such a different concept has to start strong and nobody could do it better than Earl Holliman! A great actor for a great series! My condolences to everyone who had the chance of being in his life, near and far. And thank you, Nick, for bringing this news to our attention.
