They were towers built for an era that couldn't understand them, refused to. Even if you absolutely hated the Twins, you knew they would stand for hundreds of years. The skylines would see new towers rise and rise, but the World Trade Center would always loom above. They were so eerily futuristic, from the marble light-filled lobbies to the boutique flourish of Windows on the World. A message of hope and promise for a better tomorrow, where all the peoples of the world were so united in trade they would never fight or go to war because we simply relied on each other too much. How could this happen? How could we forget that dream? How could we let the Twins go?

I love you!! I love the image of the Twins for your name. Every word you wrote is beyond mere truth. I will not "let the twins go," either. I loved working there. Nothing is the same without them.

I was born a few years after they fell, but the nostalgia and warmth of the past that they represented is still so emotional to me. I feel nostalgia for a time that I never lived in, which is weird. I've been to where they used to stand, and New York doesn't seem the same at all. NY had it's fair share of problems in the 80s-90s, but the city seems colder and less vibrant now than when the Twins stood. Great video.

I worked there prior to 9/11. They were the best part of my life. They welcomed and loved anyone who came to them. Every word you wrote is 1000% accurate. There's a book out called Invisible: When Fear and Shame Cause You to Hide. They were more than a hiding place to the aurhor. If you read it you'll see why their loss is so painful, but their memory so beautiful.

This is the NYC I grew up in. I remember listening to these type of beats in my uncle's old car driving across Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges. Whether it was staring at them heading into Manhattan, or staring back at them heading back home to Brooklyn. I miss my Twin Towers.

I'm glad I discovered this channel and subscribed. I wish the twin towers were built in several major cities to memorialize them. Cities like, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Dallas, could you imagine how magnificent that would be? Wow! I hope a billionaire rebuild them just as they were in one or all of the cities I mentioned above.

Century Plaza Towers in LA were designed by the same architect. They are triangular twin towers.

Las vegas would definitely be a good one to memorialize them, having a hotel replica of them would be beautiful ❤️

I can only imagine had they not have been destroyed, the Twins would be considered a Wonder of the Modern World.
