Several years ago, I saw a colleague ahead of me at the vending machine. I saw him order some bag of chips, or popcorn--I can't remember--and the machine caused his purchase to dangle. After considering what to do for a few moments, he gave up and walked away disappointed. I went back to my office, got some extra change, bought the one I wanted (some candy bar) and the one he wanted, getting two bags of chips. I then walked to his office to give his chips to him, but his door was locked, and he was gone. I propped his bag of chips on his doorknob for him to find when he got back. Not what you'd see in a Seinfeld episode. I never did find out if he got it. I can only hope.

@@dankubus3657 One of the most charitable things that ever happened to me was at my first job, where we had an Automat-style vending machine with little sliding doors for each item. I was getting stuff for myself and some coworkers, and when it got to the last item (for someone else), the damn door was misaligned just enough that it just would. not. open. Since it was someone else's whatever, I fought that door for about ten minutes before giving up. (I also didn't carry a lot of extra cash, so I was going to have to go back to him empty-handed AND owing him money.) An old timer I had never seen before gave me a dollar and said, "Here you go, kid; if you fought that hard, you've earned another try," and the next time it worked like a charm.

This show is an exercise between making the other characters as terrible a person as George while keeping George firmly placed on the "worst person" on the show and I can't get enough of it. I love that Jerry Seinfeld had the opportunity to write himself and his friends as wonderful people with quirky personalities and instead decided to make them all people you'd avoid like the plague in real life.

Unfortunately car dealerships can be dark places. I brought mine in for the routine maintenance and a few days later i noticed my camera- which had been in the glove compartment- was missing.
