The average American supermarket has enough dried and shelf stable meats, vegetables and fruit to fed those seven people for years. There was no reason to have to eat insects.

@@robirvine6970Sporting goods stores in the US sell freeze dried food from Mountain House and other similar brands. Freeze dried food is good for 25+ years if stored properly. Military Surplus stores sell military MRE rations which are shelf stable for 5+ years. If the surplus stores are out of MREs then local Armed Forces Reserve Centers, National Guard Armories, Army Bases, Military Airfields, and any other military installation should have enough MREs to feed the entire installation for a few months. On a major base like an Active Army Base that can be enough shelf stable food to last a couple of people... Well forever probably. My Army Reserve unit had an entire office stacked wall to wall with hundreds of boxes of MREs. You can live off one or 2 MREs a day.

@@howardjones6432 there’s more than reading the book in order to fly a plane… AND do not mix operation manual with flight operation training. 1st you learn to fly ‘something’ then you get certification on a specific airframe. Having the manuals is more about being able to troubleshout issue while on flight/mission rather than making you an airman after an allnighter at the library…

So phils got all this knowledge and skills in engineering and construction and electricity and cars nd motors but doesent know you can make car engines that run on high proof alcohol? Like theres people who have and sell these multi fuel egines theyve existed since the invention of the car. Or what about electric cars? Alot of those tesla charges ect in parking lots are powered by solar panels haging over the parking spaces so even if the power plants went down those chargers would still have power during daylight hours and there are so many of them across the usa you could easily map out routes where you could go anywhere in america and no be further than 10 or 15miles from a bunch of these charges and thats just the public ones same thing goes for all he private charges
