i would like to share with you yet another third technique of harmonizing any melody, ,most importantly if those melodies are based off of pentatonic scale the technique uses various inversions of Imajor and ii minor chords (c maj and d min) if the scale of the melody is a major scale(c major) if the scale is minor one (c minor scale) then different inversions of just 2 chords -VII major chord and i minor chord(for c minor scale 2 chords will be B flat maj and c minor resp) these 2 chords have to be alternated based on melody note so as to keep the melody note as top of the required inversion. various different beautiful riffs can be churned out by squeezing these 2 chords ie : I major and ii minor... even the vocalist can be harmonised with note to note chord on every beat...there would not be any need to play 5th major chord because that will entail the 7th note of the scale to be played ...leading to dissonance...in other words the 7 th note of the scale should then be avoided at all cost...in major scale songs However minor 7 th note can be incorporated in runs if the song happens to be on minor scale ....which would then ask for 2 chords in the manner of VII major chord and i minor on every quarter note these 2 chords will reciprocate. just 2 chords and nothing else! you can take the examples of the songs like "wettin ma go to" and "dangote" by nigerian singer burna boy. hope i was able to get the message across to you with my limited vocabulary

Hello Jason...🤗 Thanks soooo much for these wonderful lessons as always.... A kind request if you fancy helping us composers...☺ Will you fancy sharing your experiences of best resolution examples for each note of a scale... Eg : Tonic going to X Supertonic going to Y Mediants going to Z...etc...etc... Would massively help us compose proper chord PROGRESSIONS when we understand proper resolutions for each role of a note.... 😎👍👍 Thanks a ton...👍👍🥂
