i went to visit robert the doll when i was 14, i fully heartedly believed in ghosts and still do because of this doll. i read all the letters that are posted next to robert, every single one of them, i made my parents stay in his museum for an hour. despite reading all the letters i still took a picture without asking. i started having nightmares once i got home from our trip (i’ve never had nightmares since i was 8). they continued for a year until i wrote robert a letter asking for forgiveness and they stopped. the image of robert still haunts me to this day

I used to work next door to the Artist house on Eaton st. (Robert's original home before he was transferred to the museum) and it is almost just as creepy as Robert and also said to be haunted as well. While it was a beautiful home to look at while sitting at my desk, there was also something very unsettling about it....like you were constantly being watched. Granted, the home was a functioning Inn ,but the feeling was constant.

I actually went to that museum where Robert is. When I was about twelve I walked up to the box and just felt this really strange feeling…I’ve always been into creepy stuff and I had never felt like this before. They had this big wall with mini versions of him, probably about 50 of them. They all had they’re heads turned straight forward look towards the door…except one. One was looking directly at me, and I got that feeling again. It wasn’t a scared feeling, more comforting. The dolls are in bags so no one could have moved that doll to look a different way. I decided to buy it, and the same thing happened to me. I was obsessed…I would cry if I couldn’t find him and would always treat him like he was real. At the time I didn’t even know the story behind him so it’s not cause I knew that’s what happened before. I also was pretty mature at 12 so it was strange that I acted that way about a toy. Anyway about a year later I lost him and haven’t seen it since.

I’ve “met” Robert, and the true uncanny feeling that I got from him was actually from the amount of fear and genuine respect the workers around us had for him. His entire little cave was filled with such a melancholy, creepy feeling, like someone was holding their breath to not even take in his essence. Fun story, I met Robert for my 16th birthday! My dad was cursed for the afternoon! It was part of a Florida trip my family took that year. That day the museum was slow, it was just us and a couple scattered tourists. They had cleared his board of letters so there weren't many, and you could write on his chalkboard. I talked to him for a bit before writing my thanks for his time on his board, and we left. It was very cool being the only one in the hallway with him...Also super spooky, with all due respect. My dad is very skeptical of the supernatural, and wasn't very respectful towards Robert. He tripped on his way out the front door (the museum worker saw that happen too) and someone nearly hit our car as we were backing out. Our snorkeling trip was canceled two hours later due to rough waves. I'm pretty sure he apologized for his behavior, but it was crazy how that happened in three bursts right after meeting Robert, one of the most haunted dolls in the world. It's a very fun story to share now though.

My Grandma owns a lot of Raggedy Ann Doll. Anyway in their basement (which isn’t finished) it’s split into like 6 rooms. And the rooms used to be an office, a laundry room, a sewing room, a play room, and a storage room. They also have a bathroom down there but in the sewing room. There is this window that looks into the play room so my grandma could like see my mom and uncle if they are in there. But the sewing room isn’t used anymore nor is the playroom but when I’m in that playroom and you look though that window you can see a few creepy dolls. One particular one is a Raggedy Ann Doll and it still scares me because sometimes I will be sitting down there and then I think I see it move. Idk this just popped into my head

i want it to be noted that Robert didn't start acting spooky or weird until the parents started trying to separate him from Eugene and lock him in the attic for several decades and was only mean to Ann because Ann wanted to put him back in the attic for again. what I'm saying is that if I suspected that a doll was spooky, I would at least try to talk it out. establish some boundaries. like, if it turns out to be legit demonic that's one thing. but if it's just slightly haunted and sad, I can work with that.
