Reminds me of a conversation I heard my mother having with the lady at the local corner grocery shop back in the 60's. The lady said that a customer bought a packet of chocolate digestive biscuits but returned them later that day as, "The chocolate was too shiny". Couldn't make it up!
@harryricochet8134 Жыл бұрын
She should've licked them all, then given them back to the customer and told them that should have removed the shine but if they were still too shiny after they'd dried to bring them back again.

Absolutely priceless! And having worked in retail for many years, only a slight exaggeration of how difficult some 'eccentric' customers can be lol.
@ianwalters112 жыл бұрын
Oh yes indeed! My first job I worked on a deli counter. Late on Saturdays this customer would come in and ask for 2 ounces of either Gambazola or Dolcilatte soft cheese. To try and cut 2 ounces with a cheese wire is very hard to judge. If went slightly over he’d refuse and if too small refuse, you’d end up with a bunch of tiny cuts nobody would buy, the annoying clown! These days I’d refuse on waste grounds.

I briefly did customer service and agree about customers.Since then whenever over the phone or in person i've had a slightly unusual request i begin it with an apology for being their awkward customer of the day lol.
@rogerjenkinson7979 Жыл бұрын
Not just customers are awkward. I like cola bottles. My local shop lady sold them loose for 1p each. I used to biy £1s worth & she used to count them out each time. I asked why she didn't weigh 5 or 10 then multiply & sell them by weight. She refused, saying that some are bigger than others. So we both had to endure the whole process each time. I'm the kind of guy who found each one (visit & cola bottle) hugely entertaining. I did think about trying to make her lose count. But that would have been cruel.

Are you saved? Where will you go when you die? Heaven or hell? The Gospel, which means the Good News is the news that God Almighty, the Creator came in the flesh as Jesus Christ to take away the sin of the world. The one God is a trinity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Son came and laid down his own life to save ours. His sacrifice on the cross paid the price for our redemption with his own blood. On the third day he rose from dead and offers the gift of salvation and forgiveness to those that repent and trust in him. Although God's creation was created perfect, having no death, sickness and disease, the creation became corrupted through Adam and Eve in them disobeying God. In this rebellion the creation became fallen through the curse of sin and mankind became separated from God. This world is fallen, but God offers reconciliation to him through his provision at the cross. Ultimately God will restore his creation to perfection when he returns but those that reject his offer of redemption will remain condemned by their sins and go to hell. John 1:1,14 KJV In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and THE WORD WAS GOD. [14] And THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH, and dwelt among us, 1 John 3:8 KJV He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Isaiah 9:6 KJV For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty GOD, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and THE WORLD KNEW HIM NOT.
