I always enjoyed Morecambe and Wise, but the Two Ronnies on BBC2 were much cleverer, I always thought as a kid. I was never a fan of the armchair monologue but put up with it because the big musical number always followed ...and those were always witty, clever, nicely pergormed and hugely funny. Used to watch them with my dad. Great times.

This takes me back to a simpler and happier time before the world lost its sense of humour and it's perspective. You couldn't have the two Ronnie's on the morden BBC today sadly 😢.

I've had to be a housewife to three defacto girlfriends for 30 years. They couldn't cook; and didn't want to learn once they found out I enjoy cooking and are good at it. They wouldn't do anything. I worked full-time and cooked dinners, made lunches and snacks, coffees in bed, cleaned, laundered, bought their clothes, picked up after them; ALL the while been patronized, denigrated and abused (drunk women are NOT amusing and are best avoided). It was like looking after 2 year olds. I have poor judgement of character and cannot stand up to women. Now, over 60 and single (and still handsome, so I'm told), I'm not going through that ever again. 👤🥘🍗🌯☕🛌🍸👗🛍👢🆘️

Holy Emily Pankhurst! That scene in the Tower with the hose (10:00) is sexist almost beyond belief! Any modern woman with any self-respect watching this will be, understandably, spitting poison at the TV. (While we helpless males are riveted to the screen, our sexuallity ruthlessly exploited).
