Great video George. I've often walked past that gate going into the park and past the Cliff Cottage going up or down that hill never ever knowing about that drop down into the quarry. It would be nice to see it open to the public someday and tidied up and made safer.

I was also going to ask if you had been to the old underground Dingle station used by Roscoe engineering off Park Road but just found out it collapsed a few years back. Shame that. I remember going there with my dad about 45 years ago to get parts for his ford cortina, the tunnel was pitch black going down so would be relieved when walking back up and seeing day light.
@g2emedia19774 ай бұрын
Hi yes i was in that tunnel 2 days before it collapsed it was a brilliant explore the guy was great used to give you a hardhat and let you walk up it

I had no idea there was a house down there or part of one. It definitely looks separate to the main house anyway. I think the ghost put you off and you lost your bottle to venture into that house 😂😂 to be fair I would probably have done the same. A mate showed us that tunnel years ago but it was still bricked up. The block work is amazing I wonder what year it was made? I know at some point quarries had to have a tunnel to transport black powder into them. I read that in the underground Liverpool book. Also you can still find drilled and primed shot holes in parts of the Williamson's tunnels. The black powder is wet and inert now so it's safe. If Williamson's men were blasting back then maybe they were here too. Tempted to have a mooch at that house mate. Fancy a part 3?😂
@g2emedia19778 ай бұрын
mad isnt it i knew there was something down there but always thought it was a cave and was blown away when i seen the bott half of the house all derelict a part 3 deffo although i have a different tactic this time but ill let ye know mate if i go them voices were mad it must have been the houses above lol thanks for watching mate

Hello from 1978 to around 1982 my mate used to live in Bishops Lodge (his dad was the bishop's caretaker) so we were always hanging around Reynolds Park and the quarry and Woolton but can't remember that much about anything interesting apart from Reservoir Road and the entrance to Reynolds Park, not sure if it was on Church Road or Woolton Hill Road as you went into the park there was a cave/tunnel on the left just past the gates. We always said we'd go into it but never did. I wonder if it's still there.I also remember there was supposed to have been satanic rituals in the woods. i think it was either the Black Woods or the woods on Childwall Lane behind the TV studios.
@Buffalo312 ай бұрын
Looks like they tried to clear the wooded area at some point, before giving up and installed the fence.
