Being a child of the 90's I was lucky enough to have one of these. I have to say it was amazing. On a full charge they are an absolute blast and you can make it do flips on a flat surface just by going flat out forward and then jabbing it in to reverse as hard as you can. If you did this at the top of a step, it crated an awesome flip. On a full charge, driven like a 10 year old would, I think i only got 20 to 30 minutes max, but i can't be 100% certain. Thanks for bringing back many great memories Seth.

@@Justnothankyou132 Yeah, I actually manage to break a gear inside by running into curb at a weird angle. Far from indestructible. Don't recall the battery time, time worked differently when I was a kid. I was born in 95 so I was a wee lad and had no concept of time. Thanks for making a video of this, this beautiful piece of nostalgia. And, for making it super clear that you can revive it with basically no electrical knowledge, just plop in the controls from a cheap knockoff. Love it.

I searched this video because someone asked me the gift I always wanted as a kid but never got. THIS IS IT! I saw all the ads dreaming of having one.... maybe it isn't too late..... :D

A true joy to watch! Growing up as a kid in the 90's I've always wanted the tyco rc rebound. It looks super fun ! Thank you for the review.

Did not realize that Seth was 35. He's only a year older than me.

Bruh I thought he was like 45 lmao, he always talking about how old he is
@abadatha4 жыл бұрын
@@jchrizzy6995 That's what I mean. I figured, being that he talks about being old and the amount of gray he's got that he was in his mid-40s, and now I'm jealous. Grey hair on dudes looks regal and distinguished, and I'm cursed with like, strawberry blonde hair and a grandfather who passed away at 91 with a full head of naturally dark hair.

This brings back memories! I used to have one of these things! I used to take it off the biggest drops and I could never get it to break! It was alot of fun!

I had that thing as a kid and i used and abused it! so awesome to see one again. I remember just waiting by the charger waiting for it to charge up. I forgot how indestructible the thing was!

I loved mine! My dad bought me one and 4 batteries. Come home from school and tear up the back yard. I wanna say the batteries lasted maybe 20 mins each. Hard to remember back then.

Yeah, 80's baby - 90's kid... Bought one with my allowance, the battery lasted me about thirty minutes or so...super fun RC. Memories bro....man!

Mann you need to get a hobby grade rc car. I’d honestly recommend buying used cause new are more expensive. Also get a well known brand such as traxxas ect. Also get a lipo

Yea, the battery also stung me a bit too. 😂 but We gotta understand he is not educated in these things and he did well enough. At least for someone learning still! Haha

This video was great! I was 9 years old when my 21 year old brother bought me one of these. I remember we got it at “Toys R Us” for $100 and the charge time was 4 hours for about 15-20 minutes of play time when new. After a a couple weeks of playing, a 4 hour charge would last for about 4-6 minutes of play time.

Still have mine from when I was a kid (doesn't currently work). I remember it took 4 hours to charge the battery and it lasted maybe 10 minutes. Nostalgia is calling and I'm very tempted to get it working again.

One of my clients had something similar to this, but with three wheels. It was like a nightmare remote controlled tricycle that she would send careening down the hallway. Thank god the engine died one day. These are too fun!

Just the sound brings back memories. I also remember the charger. You'd slide the battery in from the bottom. Also had all the sick decals. It would last only for 20 minutes, and the battery would be hot :D. Such awesome toys!

I had this same rc. Blue/red. It waa the best rc I ever owned. It's was so quick and durable, I went everywhere with that thing. Love it!
