Love this! Big fan of all the content as ever Eddie. Highly recommend doing the Hexham 'Whistle Stop' pub crawl, open return and there's a pub next each of the train stations on that route. Very canny countryside day out

Aye. Think this is known as the booze cruise? Or I may have made that up. But I've done it before, many moons ago. Train from Central towards Carlisle as far as Haltwhistle. Then back towards Newcastle, stopping for a drink at Haydon Bridge, Hexham, Corbridge, Prudhoe and Wylam then back to town.

I love a good pub crawl. We did last year. We started off in the Ouseburn and we finished in Gateshead. I really love the alnwick territory in Northumberland.

Hi Eddie. Great idea. I'm still trying to persuade my other half to come along on the 22nd. So we shall see... Coincidentally, we did our own 'Metro pub crawl' for her birthday at the beginning of May, starting in Whitley Bay and travelling to boozers in proximity to the Monkseaton, Haymarket, Gateshead, Monument, Chilly Road, North Shields, and Tynemouth stations.

I did this with the wife and it was a brilliant time! We were there last year for the Arsenal match and they moved the match back a day. So, that Saturday we did a metro pub crawl! Brilliant time and we met the best people as we unfurled the Toon Army Minnesota flag! Wish I was there to join you!

I’m not much interested in the south side although South Shields is a great place, North Shields is my neck of the woods. Has changed a lot mind most of the great pubs closed. Such a shame but some investment been made like Sambucas on North Shields fish quay. I remember when it was a working quay and Smiths Docks at the end With the Jungle night club with old Mannie Burgo on the door and the Sandpiper cafe just along the ferry landing.. I digress 🙏

My gorgeous 10 month old kitten George Claw-well was rushed to the vets yesterday with breathing difficulties. 😞 He’s stable but he’s back at vets today as we don’t know what’s wrong with him!
