I was thinking of getting the 1/18th scale reddish brown rex before but now as i think of it…especially with the space. Do i really need it? This one is 1/35th scale and is just as good! I love the details and coloration on this fella, with the patterned tail and sandy undertones are just beautiful! I should be getting the WWD version along when everyone else’s gets theres, i will HAVE to get this version! Great review man! :)

Can’t pull that off with the 1:18. Maybe for a minute or two for some dynamic photos. The weight of it really work’s against it. But I still love it. It’s huge, heavy, and is a centerpiece display. Have the 1:35 grey and it’s such a better experience to play with. I’m actually dreading when my standard 1:18 comes. How did I end up with 3 big boys….help. Also I’ve had my 1:18 rex standing on a shelf without that base and no issues with stability with those non articulated legs. But man if it ever fell it would be chaos.

As much as I love the 1/18 scale, I do prefer the 1/35 better because I have a big collection of handmade model & merchandise on my shelf so the 1/35 scale fit better on my shelf than the 1/18 scale

I appreciate that you took the time to test out the figures stability since that was a major concern of mine and none of the other reviews seem to really talk about. Or at least they didn't put it through its paces to the same extent you have. My thoughts are basically the same as yours, very happy that it can stand decently unlike the raptors, but I am disappointed that it seems to warp when only standing on one leg. I am definitely going to be buying a posing rod for it because not being able to achieve one leg poses is a big deal breaker for me. These figures are very expensive so its important to me to take measures to make sure they can last. Does make me worried about the larger ones though, if a figure of this size is prone to warping, so I am going to make sure I have enough posing rods. But even with that, I am very excited to get mine and I am even more hyped after seeing all the awesome poses you can get it into!

It is a cool figure I am not going to lie however I still don’t agree that he didn’t have lips and some people disagreed with me but that’s just me though it’s a great finger don’t get me wrong I hope I can get the WWD version because I am a huge fan of the t Rex design the series and etc. I don’t know how I’m going to do it because obviously I don’t have a Kickstarter account but I hope I’ll figure it out

It would be better to use a hairdryer (if you have one) to avoid washing off paint while heating it up.

I think its just his lighting because the other Rexes don't look like that and it would be weird for them to have a different finish.

How does this fantastic model scale with the Eofauna Triceratops? I really want to have this guy pair with an inscale Triceratops but I'm not sure if I wanna shell £50 on the Juvie trike

To be frank the PNSO and Eofauna Trike scale better with the rex, they better represent average sizes at 1/35th scale. The BOTM Juvi Trike would represent an absolutely massive specimen in 1/35th scale(its very big compared to the rex), that being said I still highly recommend getting the figure. I have the PNSO and BOTM Juvi Trike and either fit well with my BOTM Painted Rex.

@@SavageFist I think I have to disagree, as someone with them both in person the BotM rex and trike look pretty much perfect together to me. The Trike might represent a fairly large individual, but not THAT large, especially when you remember that not every T. rex was especially big. Remember, a lot of the rexes we have aren't even 40 feet.
